20.1 Attenuator and Trigger Voltage Relationships

The attenuation (Atten) is related to the trigger threshold voltage (Vtrig) by the expression:-

Atten=20 x LOG (Vtrig)dB

where Vtrig is in millivolts.

Conversely, if the absolute magnitude of the trigger threshold voltage is required, this is
given by:

Vtrig=ALOG (Atten/20)mV The values of Vtrig for all attenuator settings are given in Table
Al.l.
