Presentation Final

The document outlines the process of creating a Building Information Modeling (BIM) project using various technologies such as 3D scanning, AutoCAD, Revit, Enscape, VR, AI rendering, AR, and 3D printing. It details the steps taken from initial measurements and modeling to final rendering and printing of the project. The team involved in the project is also listed at the end.

SCANNING
3D SCANNING
The application used for the 3D scanning process is “Irinho 3d”, which is an
application downloadable on phone devices. This application has several various
features like rendered AR, object scanning and room scanning, furthermore, the
application’s system mainly depends on LIDAR, which is a method to determine
distances through pointing laser beams on the surface of the object and measuring
time taken for the reflected beam to return to the receiver. This application was
mainly used to take the measurements of the selected space. However, the
application had poor quality for taking the height of the space, as a result, another
application “measure” was used for this process.

Irinho 3D
measure app
3D SCANNING
The 3D scanning process was done by
opening the application “Irhino 3d” and
using it to start scanning the required
dimensions - in meters – for the selected
space, then importing the measured
dimensions into the application and
viewing it in the app. As for measuring
the height of the space, “measure”
application was used by scanning the
height using the mobile’s camera and
viewing the desired measurement
through the app.
3D SCANNING

The taken measurements and

the furniture added were viewed
in the Irhino application,
showing all of the taken
measurements for the space
and each of its components,
resulting a 3DM viewer file
which can be converted into a
POINT CLOUD file which can be
imported to REVIT
Autocad
AutoCAD
• ·At the first, we begin AutoCAD by making layers like A-Wall, A-
Column, A-Door, A-Windows, A-Axis and etc… from layers properties
as shown in figure, and it’s a very important step because if we
need to make a thickness to the lines for every part or to hide
something all of that we can’t do without making layers.
AutoCAD
• · Then we make axis by selecting “A-Axis” layer and
draw a center line it’s thickness about 0.05.
AutoCAD
• · After that we apply the layer of the wall and we choose
a thickness 0.5 then we select “ML” which is the multiline
then justification zero and to scale 0.25 to draw the walls
around axis.
AutoCAD
• · In the next step, we select the “A-Door” layer and
draw the door by drawing a line then creating an arc
using the arc function from the task bar.
AutoCAD
• · Then we select “A-Windows” layer and select “ML”
then justification zero and to scale 0.25 to draw the
windows with thickness 0.2.
AutoCAD
• After that we select “A-Column” layer and select “ML” then
justification zero to scale 0.25 we make copy of the first
column to make the other columns.
AutoCAD
• After we finish the column we select “A-Hatsh” and select
hatsh and insert it in the columns and copy the hatsh to
the other columns.
AutoCAD
• Finally we select A-Dimensions layer and put the
dimensions.
AutoCAD
• Then to start in the front section we will have to draw the section
centerline.
AutoCAD
• then we started to draw XL command . from the walls and the columns and the
door to start the front view.
AutoCAD
• Then we draw by the section layer the shown figure
and hatching the walls thickness.
AutoCAD
• After that at the top and bottom from height 0.1 we will draw a
horizontal line by the groundlinelayer.
AutoCAD
• Now we will add roof at height 0.2 from the
section.
AutoCAD
• Then we will draw the door with ML command with justification zero
and scale 0.1 and the height of the door is 2.2,and draw hidden line
in the door as shown.
AutoCAD
• To start the side section we will copy the top view and rotate it and
we will do the section guidelines and the section centerline.
AutoCAD
• Now after the front section we can start the side section
and we can copy from the front section the section lines,
roof, floor finish, because the height and width are the
same.
AutoCAD
• Then drawing the window using ML command with scale 0.1 and
copy it.
• and now it’s ready to be exported to revit.
REVIT
REVIT
• from the revit app we started a new project
REVIT
• and choosed default-metric template
REVIT
• then checked the units and made sure it was set
to metric
REVIT
• and then adjusted the level to the CAD model we
made
REVIT
• then checked the units and made sure it was set
to metric
REVIT
• then we went to the insert page and choose (Import
CAD)
REVIT
• and then choose the CAD file we created
REVIT
• and we can import from apoint cloud file from the
3d model we scanned
REVIT
• and then started to make the wall and choosed the
wall command and clicked edit type
REVIT
• and then choosed duplicate and and named wall
25
REVIT
• and then inserted 2 new layers
REVIT
• and made the middle layer from brick and the
outer ones from plaster
REVIT
REVIT
• and then made the plaster substrate
REVIT
• and made the top constrait 0.9m
• and the base offset -0.8
REVIT
• and then from the modify wall tab choose the
rectangle and then draw the wall
REVIT
• and this is the model after placing the wall
REVIT
• And after the walls we done the floor
REVIT
And like the walls we
• Clicked edit and duplicate
• Named it main floor
REVIT
• the matiral we choose was concrete, cast in situ
REVIT
• and then from the modify floor tab we also choose
the rectangle andmade it’s border the outer border
of the brick layer and made sure that the base
offset was -0.1m
REVIT
• and then we clicked on copy
• to clipboard and choose paste
• to slected level and choose
level 2
REVIT
REVIT
• and this was the model after installing the main
floor
REVIT
• after the main floor there was the finishing floor
and with the same step as the main floor we made
the finish
REVIT

• after nameing it we clicked edit type and inserted

2 new layer
REVIT
• the bottom layer was sand
and
the middle was mortar and
the last was planks
REVIT
• after making the layers we went to the modifiy
floor and choose rectangle and made it border the
inner layer of the plaster
REVIT
• and then using the copy to
clipboard command and
the paste to selected level
like we did to the main floor
REVIT
• after the floor we did the ceiling
REVIT
• from the door tab we choose a door and placed it
REVIT
• and doing the same for windows
REVIT
• and thus, the BIM model was done and this is the
final model
ENSCAPE
ENSCAPE
• to open enscape we should open revit first then
click on enscape from ribbon tabs
ENSCAPE

PRINTING
• and then we took the.STL file to the 3D-printer

• the material we choose was PLA+ which is known

for
• Cost – it's cheaper than other filaments.
• Eco-friendliness – it's made from crops such as
sugarcane, and is a degradable polymer.
• Stiffness and strength.
• A fairly long shelf life.
