In this data analysis, we conducted a survey on how much sleep do the grade 10
students get within 24 hours. We collected data from 32 random students of grade 10,
from different sections. Each participant was asked to choose their amount of time they
spent on sleeping, from a list of eight (8) options. The data was collected and analyzed to
identify the most average spent among the participants.
BODY
Based on the survey conducted among 31 Grade 10 students at Bangui National
High School, the majority of students reported getting an average of 6 to 8 hours of sleep
Out of the 31 respondents, only 9.7% (3 students) reported getting less than 3
hours of sleep, while no one reported getting exactly 4 hours of sleep. A total of 19.4% (6
reported getting exactly 6 hours of sleep. Another 19.4% (6 students) reported getting 7
hours of sleep, and the same percentage, 19.4% (6 students), reported getting 8 hours of
National High School are not getting enough sleep, with some reporting less than 3 hours
of sleep, and the majority reporting between 5 to 8 hours of sleep per night. It suggests
that there may be a need for increased awareness and education on the importance of
sufficient sleep for the overall health and well-being of students, as well as potential
interventions to improve sleep quality and duration among the students surveyed.
CONCLUSION
National High School revealed that the majority of students reported getting an average
students reported getting less than the recommended amount of sleep, with some
reporting less than 3 hours of sleep. This data highlights the need for increased awareness
and education on the importance of sufficient sleep for students' overall health and well-
being. Potential interventions to improve sleep quality and duration among students
surveyed may also be necessary to promote better academic performance and overall
health outcomes.
