Introduction

Jayden is a Year 9 student who has shown potential in his academic work but has struggled in
certain areas, particularly in mathematics. Throughout the demo, we have worked on a variety of topics,
and I have had the opportunity to assess his progress. Jayden is a polite and obedient student who
demonstrates a willingness to engage with the material and participates actively in lessons. However,
there are areas that require focused attention for him to improve further.

Focus Areas

1. Initial Struggles in Probability:

At the beginning of the demo, Jayden encountered difficulties with probability concepts. Despite
initial struggles, he demonstrated resilience and a willingness to ask questions and seek clarification.
Over time, he showed gradual improvement, though further reinforcement and practice are still required
for him to become confident in this area.

2. Algebra:

A significant area where Jayden needs improvement is algebra. During our assessment, he scored
0/6 in the algebra portion, which indicates a lack of understanding in this area. Algebra is a key skill in
mathematics that will continue to build in future learning. I have suggested that Jayden focus on
mastering algebraic expressions, solving equations, and understanding the basic principles that
underpin algebra.

3. Assessment Paper Performance:

Jayden was given an assessment paper covering a range of mathematical topics. While he performed
well overall, he made small errors that led to incorrect answers. These mistakes suggest that improving
