Fruit Quality and Freshness Abstract Final
Fruit Quality and Freshness Abstract Final
Abstract:
In this research project, the use of deep learning techniques to a comprehensive assessment of
fruit quality, freshness, chemical composition, and nutritional value is explored. Conventional
techniques for evaluating fruit are time-consuming and prone to errors. This suggest an
integrated strategy utilizing Multi-Layer Perceptrons (MLPs) and Convolutional Neural
Networks (CNNs) to overcome those limitations. Predictive modeling and image analysis are
the project's two primary goals. Initially, 2D images of fruits will be analyzed using a CNN to
extract features relating to color , texture, and external deficiencies .With the ability to
differentiate between different quality levels and identify indicators of rotting, this model will
make it easier to evaluate the freshness and quality of fruit. A variety of fruit picture datasets
will be used to train the CNN, and preprocessing techniques like augmentation,
normalization, and scaling will be applied to improve model resilience. Furthermore, an MLP
will be employed to forecast the fruits chemical composition and nutritional worth. In order
to estimate chemical compositions and nutritional metrics, this model will analyze
characteristics extracted by the CNN in addition to supplementary numerical data. In order to
provide precise and useful insights, the MLP will be trained using data on fruit chemical
composition and nutritional qualities. Metrics like Root Mean Square Error (RMSE),
accuracy, and precision will be used to assess the models. The implementation of these
models will entail developing an intuitive real-time assessment interface using frameworks
such as TensorFlow Serving or TorchServe. By automating and enhancing fruit evaluation
procedures, this deep learning-based strategy seeks to lessen reliance on manual inspection
and offer a more reliable, effective way to evaluate fruit quality and nutritional content.
