Course Description
This course equips students with essential digital skills by focusing on the effective use of
Google Workspace and Microsoft Office tools for academic and professional tasks. Students will
gain hands-on experience in document creation, collaboration, and data management, with an
emphasis on teamwork and productivity. Through interactive lab exercises and real-world case
studies, students will develop proficiency in using digital tools to enhance workplace efficiency.
Course Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, students should be able to:
 CO1: Utilize Google Workspace and Microsoft Office for document creation and collaboration.
 CO2: Apply Google Docs and Microsoft Word for professional content development.
 CO4: Create engaging presentations using Google Slides and PowerPoint.

Introduction to Digital Productivity Tools
Google Workspace Overview: Chrome Settings, Gmail Advanced Features (Confidential Mode, Undo
Send, Tasks), Google Drive (Cloud Storage, File Sharing, Collaboration).
Microsoft Office Suite Basics: Overview of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Activity: Hands-on session on Gmail and Google Drive collaboration.

Word Processing with Google Docs & MS Word
Google Docs: Formatting, Styles, Citations, Voice Typing, Document Sharing, Version Control.

data effectively using Excel’s powerful tools. The course emphasizes practical application

for both academic and professional tasks.
