A. Fill in the blanks.


1. A motion guide is created in the Guide layer

1. What are layers?
Ans. Layers are like sheets of transparent paper stacked one above the other. We can place
and edit objects or apply animations on one layer without interfering with the objects on the
other layers.

2. What is Motion guide?


Ans. A custom path created for an object to move on the stage is called a motion guide.

3. What is the function of the Playhead on the Timeline?


Ans. The red rectangle with an extended line below the frames and keyframes is called the
Playhead. The plyahead shows the speed at which the animation is played back.

4. List any four sound effects that can be applied to an audio file in the Timeline.
Ans. Four sound effects can be applied an audio file in the timeline:
- None - Left channel
- Right channel - Fade to right
- Fade to left - Fade in
- Fade out - Custom

5. List two characteristics of a mask layer.


Ans. The two characteristics of a mask layers are:
- Filled areas in a mask layer are transparent
- Non-filled areas in a mask layer are opaque
