Vision of Department:

 To produce globally competitive and socially sensitized engineering graduates


and to bring out quality research in the frontier areas of Electronics and
Communication Engineering.

Mission of Department:

 To provide quality and contemporary technology in the domain of Electronics and


Communication Engineering through periodically updated curriculum, best
laboratory facilities, collaborative ventures with the industries and effective
teaching-learning process.
 To implement and modify new technologies in Electronics and Communication
Engineering and related disciplines in order to serve the needs of the society,
industry, government and scientific community.
 To pursue higher studies/research in new technology to distinguish oneself in a
particular field.

The Program Education Objectives PEOs

 PEO I: To Excel in their professional career both at UG and PG level in Electronics


and Communication Engineering and allied fields.
 PEO II: To Exhibit leadership qualities through technological innovation.
 PEO III: To adapt to emerging technologies for sustenance in their relevant areas of
interest and be competitive.

Program Outcomes:
 PO1: Engineering knowledge: Use his fundamental knowledge of Mathematics,
Science and Engineering in conceptualization and design of a system for a particular
product.
 PO2: Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate complex ECE problems, analyze and
solve them.
 PO3: Design/Development of Solutions: To design experiments, interpret the data
and give conclusions.
 PO4: Conduct investigations of complex problems: Should be able to visualize a
system design and the components (if necessary)
 PO5: Modern tool usage: Create, select and apply the available resources and
technique in the modeling of a system with knowledge of possible limitations.
 PO6: The Engineer and Society: While performing a task the professional and
ethical responsibilities are adhered.
 PO7: Environment and sustainability: Should have the understanding of societal,
health, safety and legal issues involved.
 PO8: Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and
responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.
 PO9: Individual and Teamwork: Should work independently or with a diverse
group and in multidisciplinary setting for achieving the goal.
 PO10: Communication: Good communication skills to put forth the point of view
and to convince the fellow engineers.
 PO11: Project Management and finance: As engineering graduate should have
knowledge and understanding of good management and business ethics with
limitations.
 PO12: Lifelong Learning: Zeal to learn new concepts and acquire knowledge
lifelong.

Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)


 PSO1: To produce engineers professionally competent to design and develop
electronic equipment and communication systems.
 PSO2: To motivate the students to select a field of interest from wide range of topics
available in the field of electronics and communication for career development.
 PSO3: To inculcate the habit of truthfulness (ethics) and team spirit in achieving their
goals keeping in mind financial, environmental concerns.
