1. PRINCIPAL OFFICERS
(a) Vice Chancellor.
The Responsibilities.
The Vice-Chancellor is the Chief Executive Officer and Academic Head of the
University, Chairman of all distinct bodies established by law (such as the Senate
and Congregation), and a member of the University's Governing Council. The
Vice-Chancellor will drive innovation in a competitive environment and ensure
that the university's strategic objectives align with the targets outlined in the master
plan and academic master plan submitted to the National Universities Commission
of Nigeria. The Vice-Chancellor must demonstrate the ability to make informed
decisions and balance the ecosystem, prioritising stakeholders' interests as the top
priority of Value Stick University. The Vice-Chancellor will report to the
University Governing Council. His specific duties include, but are not limited to:
General supervision and control of the daily activities of the University General
responsibility to the Governing Council for maintaining and promoting the
efficiency and good order of the University. Ensuring that the provisions of the
University's laws, statutes, ordinances, and bylaws are meticulously observed.
Advising the Council on any matters that affect the policies, finances, and general
administration of the University.
Remunerations
The reward system is appealing. However, the University shall provide excellent
accommodation on campus for both office and residence. In addition, the
University will provide all official vehicles.
(c) Registrar
The Responsibilities:
The Registrar is the head of the central administrative services at the university. He
is responsible for managing and professionally developing staff and overseeing
various initiatives. The Registrar supervises the registration process, maintains
accurate student records, and ensures academic regulations and policies adherence.
Furthermore, they coordinate course scheduling, oversee the issuance of academic
transcripts, and support students, faculty, and staff. The Registry of the University
coordinates various departments and units to ensure efficiency and optimal
performance outcomes.
Qualifications
The candidate must possess a minimum of a Second-Class Lower Division degree
in Social Sciences or Humanities from a recognised University. A higher degree(s)
in relevant disciplines will be an advantage.
The candidate must have at least ten (10) years of diverse and continuous post-
qualification experience in university administration, including at least three (3)
years as a Deputy Registrar.

(d) Bursar
The Responsibilities
The Bursar is the University's Chief Financial Officer and is responsible to the
Vice-Chancellor for the daily financial administration and control of the
University’s financial affairs.
Qualifications
Candidates should have a good honours degree (at least Second-Class Lower
Division), preferably in Accounting, Economics, Financial Management, or any
related field or subjects from recognised tertiary institutions.
Must have professionally recognised accountancy qualifications, such as ICAN,
ACMA, ANAN, and ACCA. Holding a higher degree will be an added advantage.
The candidate should have at least fifteen (10) years of experience after obtaining
their honours degree and ten (3) years of experience following their professional
qualification. Additionally, the candidate must hold the position of Deputy Bursar
at a university or an equivalent role in a comparable institution, with a minimum of
three years in that position.
The candidate must have clean and impeccable service records, demonstrate high
professional competence, and have a solid understanding of relevant accounting
software applications.
The candidate must demonstrate high accountability, transparency, integrity, and
probity.
Applicants should possess strong computer literacy and be familiar with using
ICT-based accounting packages.

Qualifications
Candidate for the position of the University Librarian must:
· Possess a good honours degree and a master’s in library and information
science or a related field from a recognised university. Holding a PhD will
be an added advantage.
· Be certified by the Librarians’ Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN).
· Possess and demonstrate skills in strategic planning, staff management,
copyright and intellectual property, and financial responsibility.
· Have at least five (5) years of relevant experience in University Library
services. The candidate should hold at least the rank of Deputy Librarian and
must have served in that position for at least one (1) year.
· Possessing a substantial number of scholarly publications (a minimum of 5)
in reputable international and national journals is required.

Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver strategic academic and administrative leadership for the faculty,
ensuring teaching, research, and community engagement.

2. ACADEMIC STAFF

1. Professor (UFASS 07): Applicants must hold a PhD in a relevant field from
any recognised and reputable university, along with substantial scholarly
publications. They should have at least TEN years of post-doctoral
experience in full-time teaching and research at a university, demonstrating
the ability to initiate and supervise research projects and attract grants.
Administrative experience will be advantageous. Successful applicants must
demonstrate academic and professional leadership in the field.
2. Reader (UFASS 06): Like the previous example, five years of full-time and
research experience at a university are required after completing a post-
doctoral program.
3. Senior Lecturer (UFASS 05): Same as 1 and 2, except three years of
experience is required.
4. Lecturer I (UFASS 04): Candidates must have a doctoral degree in a relevant
field and one year of postdoctoral teaching and research experience.
5. Lecturer II (UFASS 03): Candidates must have a PhD or a Master’s degree
in a relevant field and one year of teaching and research experience.
6. Assistant Lecturer (UFASS 02): Candidates must have a Master’s degree in a
relevant field.
7. Graduate Assistant (UFASS 01): Candidates must possess a first degree with
at least a Second-Class (Upper Division) in the relevant field.
3. UNIVERSITY LIBRARY
Dedicated and detail-oriented library officers are needed to fill the
University of Fortune’s vacant positions. Successful candidates will be
expected to assist the University Librarian in managing library resources and
ensuring the smooth operation of library services. The positions include
Senior Librarian.
4. NON-ACADEMIC STAFF
(a) Registry
The University of Fortune seeks highly motivated and qualified individuals

efficiently managing student records, admissions, and academic services

1. Deputy Registrar (UFNASS 14): Candidates must possess a good first degree
not below second-class lower division in Arts, Humanities, or Social
Sciences from a recognised university, along with 5 years of post-cognate
qualification experience, a significant portion of which must be in the
Administrative Cadre of a tertiary institution. Applicants for this position
must have served as a Principal Assistant Registrar for at least three (3)
years. Membership in a recognised professional body, such as ANUPA,
NIM, IPMN, AUA, etc., is compulsory. A postgraduate qualification will be
an added advantage.
2. Administrative Officer I & II (UFNASS 08/07): Candidates for the position of
Administrative Officer I require a good first degree, not lower than a second-
class lower division, in Arts, Humanities, or Social Sciences from a
recognised university, along with three years of relevant post-qualification
experience. For Administrative Officer II, candidates must also hold a
second-class lower division in Arts, Humanities, or Social Sciences from a
recognised university.
4. Data Processing Officer I & II (UFNASS 08/07): Candidates for the Data
Processing Officer I position must possess a good Higher National Diploma
not below Lower Credit in Computer Science or other relevant disciplines
from a recognised Polytechnic, along with 2 years of post-cognate
qualification experience. The same applies to candidates for the Data
Processing Officer II position without qualifications or experience.

oriented environment. Interested candidates must meet the qualifications and
experience specified below:
1. Deputy Bursar (UFNASS 14): Candidates must possess a good first degree
not below second-class lower division in Accounting or other Finance-
related disciplines, plus knowledge of a computerised accounting system,
with at least 15 years’ cognate post-qualification experience, plus
professionally recognised qualifications – ICAN, ACMA, ACA, ACCA,
ANAN, etc. The candidate must have been a Chief Accountant for not less
than three (3) years.
2. Principal Accountant (UFNASS 11): Candidates must possess a good first
degree not lower than second-class lower division in Accounting or other
Finance-related disciplines, knowledge of a computerised Accounting
system and at least 9 years of relevant post-qualification experience.

1. Director of Audit (UFNASS 15): Candidates must possess a good first degree
in Accounting or a related financial discipline, not below a second-class
lower division, plus professionally recognised accountancy/auditing
qualifications—ICAN, ACMA, ACA, ACCA, ANAN, etc.—and 5 years of
relevant cognate post-qualification experience.
2. Auditor I & II (UFNASS 08/07): Candidates must hold a good first degree not
lower than second-class lower division in Accounting or other finance-
related disciplines, along with at least three years of relevant post-
qualification experience. Candidates applying for the position of Auditor I
must also possess at least three years of relevant post-qualification
experience.
2. Legal Officer (UFNASS 08): Candidates must possess a good LL.B. not
below second-class lower division from a recognised institution, plus BL.
1. Director, DIC (UFNASS 15): Candidates must possess a good first degree
not below second-class lower division in Mass Communication, Public
Relations, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognised
university, with at least 10 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
A master’s degree or relevant professional qualifications, such as
membership in the NIPR, will be an advantage.
i. Director, ICT (UFNASS 15): Candidates must possess a good first degree,
not below second-class lower division, in Computer Science, Computer
Engineering, or a related field from a recognised University, with at
least 8 years of relevant post-qualification experience. Professional
certification or membership in relevant regulatory bodies is required. A
Master’s degree or appropriate professional qualifications can be
advantageous.
viii. System Analyst I & II (MIS) (UFNASS 08/07): Candidates must possess
a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information
Technology or a related field from an accredited university. A master’s
degree in these fields is preferred, but optional. Proficiency in programming
languages such as JAVA, Phyton, C++, PHP or JavaScript is mandatory.
Professional certifications such as CISA, PMP, ITIL, or TOGAF are optional
but advantageous, in addition to at least 4- and 5-year cognate post-
qualification experience for System Analyst I and System Analyst II,
respectively.
i. Chief Security Officer (CSO): The ideal candidate for this position must be a
proactive leader with strong strategic and operational security management
skills. The candidate will develop and implement security policies,
procedures, and emergency response plans. The candidate must be a retired
Commissioner of Police or equivalent in the Nigerian armed forces
(Nigerian Army, Nigerian Navy, and Nigerian Air Force). A degree in
Security Management, Criminology, Law Enforcement, or a related field
will be an advantage. Candidates demonstrating strong leadership,
communication, and crisis management skills will be preferred. A solid
knowledge of modern security technologies and best practices is required for
this position. Additionally, the candidate must have extensive experience
working with law enforcement and emergency response agencies.
ii. Principal Security Officer (PSO): The Principal Security Officer (PSO)
collaborates with the CSO to maintain campus security and ensure the safety
of students, staff, and university property. They assist in developing and
enforcing security policies and procedures. Additionally, he is responsible
for training security personnel and promoting security awareness across the
university. The candidate must be a retired Chief Superintendent of Police
(CSP) or hold an equivalent position in any branch of the Nigerian Armed
Forces. A degree in Security Management, Criminology, Law Enforcement,
or a related field is advantageous. Preference will be given to candidates
with demonstrated strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving
skills. They must possess a deep knowledge of security technologies,
emergency response, and crisis management. Furthermore, the candidate
must have experience coordinating with law enforcement and regulatory
bodies.
