We had developed the automation platform using UiPath, Dot net and ABBYY tool.
This Bot process involved downloading 8k+ PDFs from SharePoint through API call, converting the scanned/image based PDFs to text searchable using
ABBYY and then extracting the required metadata using complex business rules through Abbyy OCR platform.
Finally saving the extracted data to excel, converting to portal specific templates and uploading it to firm’s internal web portal.

This process involved the creation of Automated tape handling reports for 10k+ tapes which were going in and out of the firm’s Data center
The automation effort involved Unix shell scripting using Bash and Python
The tapes going in/out of DC were automatically inserted/Ejected from tape libraries using the python scripts
