The Moon
The Moon
The Moon
One lovely evening, I was sitting on chair in the backyard staring at the big, beautiful moon shinning in
the night sky with many brightening stars. In my backyard there is a large amount of greenery like a
forest but it looked nice to me sitting and feeling comfortable with a clear and fresh mind. I felt like
this moon was sharing a secret and inviting me to come to its beauty.
When I was ten years old my regular part was to watch the moon and analyze its shiny glassy color
with a sphere. I thought about Neil Armstrong: The astronaut who visited the moon and got a great
achievement by the people in his country and to the world. I got a very good thinking on it how it feels
like being in the moon. I thought to ask it to my father. As we were camping the area so went to him
and saw he was working and trying to light the fire. I went to him and collected enough stuffs for him
so that we can prepare for the dinner.
“Why can’t we see the moon from near” i asked my father with a curious vision. Then he spoke out
“Well, Its far away from us” He shortly answered and went back to work with hurry as food wasn’t
prepared yet.
I was curious to know and my thirst wasn’t full yet. I drew the picture of the moon with some stars
and big black background to make it beautiful. I was thinking about unrealistic things which wasn’t at
all thinkable. I wanted to know about the moon more and more.
After cooking, preparing, and eating the food it was the time for sleeping then I thought to ask it my
mother even though she was washing those dishes I still asked her.
“Mom, How does this moon give us light” I asked her out with a silence voice as I could not talk
loudly.
“And you will learn it later” She told and went away.
“But, wait..” I was little bit of confused but I had to stay like that way.
Well I couldn’t collect the description of moon and still curious to know about what was it that Neil
Armstrong was really surprised after watching the moon from near. How did it give us light, and it was
so good looking, shiny, brightening.
“Dear! Come quick” Mom called out. And I went to sleep without the full explanation of the moon.
