📘 CUET UG PCM – All Essential Formulas with Explanations & Examples

📘 PHYSICS

1. Kinematics
🔹 Formula: v = u + at
🔸 Explanation: Final velocity after time t for constant acceleration.
✅ Example: u=0, a=2, t=5 ⇒ v=10 m/s

🔹 Formula: s = ut + ½at²
🔸 Explanation: Displacement under uniform acceleration.
✅ Example: u=0, a=2, t=5 ⇒ s=25 m

🔹 Formula: v² = u² + 2as
🔸 Explanation: Relates speed and displacement.
✅ Example: u=0, a=2, s=25 ⇒ v=10 m/s

2. Laws of Motion
🔹 Formula: F = ma
🔸 Explanation: Force equals mass times acceleration.
✅ Example: m=10 kg, a=2 ⇒ F=20 N

🔹 Formula: f = μN
🔸 Explanation: Friction force = coefficient × normal force.
✅ Example: μ=0.5, N=10 ⇒ f=5 N

3. Work, Energy, Power

🔹 Formula: W = Fd cosθ
🔸 Explanation: Work = force × distance × angle factor.
✅ Example: F=10 N, d=5 m, θ=0° ⇒ W=50 J

🔹 Formula: KE = ½mv²
🔸 Explanation: Kinetic energy of a moving object.
✅ Example: m=2 kg, v=3 m/s ⇒ KE=9 J
🔹 Formula: P = W/t
🔸 Explanation: Power is work per unit time.
✅ Example: W=100 J, t=5 s ⇒ P=20 W

🧪 CHEMISTRY

1. Mole Concept
🔹 Formula: n = W/M
🔸 Explanation: Moles = mass / molar mass.
✅ Example: W=10g, M=58.5 ⇒ n ≈ 0.17 mol

🔹 Formula: n = N/NA
🔸 Explanation: Moles = particles / Avogadro’s number.
✅ Example: N = 6.022×10²³ ⇒ n = 1 mol

2. Thermodynamics
🔹 Formula: q = mcΔT
🔸 Explanation: Heat = mass × specific heat × temp change.
✅ Example: m=100g, c=4.2, ΔT=10 ⇒ q=4200 J

🔹 Formula: ΔG = ΔH - TΔS
🔸 Explanation: Gibbs free energy change.
✅ Example: ΔH=100, T=300K, ΔS=0.2 ⇒ ΔG=40 J

3. Electrochemistry
🔹 Formula: Ecell = Ecathode - Eanode
🔸 Explanation: EMF of cell = difference in electrode potentials.
✅ Example: 0.80V - 0.34V = 0.46V

🔹 Formula: ΔG = -nFEcell
🔸 Explanation: Gibbs free energy and cell potential.
✅ Example: n=2, F=96500, E=1V ⇒ ΔG=-193000 J
🔢 MATHEMATICS

1. Algebra
🔹 Formula: x = (-b ± √(b² - 4ac))/2a
🔸 Explanation: Quadratic formula for roots.
✅ Example: x² - 5x + 6 ⇒ x=2, 3

🔹 Formula: (a + b)² = a² + 2ab + b²

🔸 Explanation: Identity for square of sum.
✅ Example: a=2, b=3 ⇒ (2+3)²=25

2. Trigonometry
🔹 Formula: sin²θ + cos²θ = 1
🔸 Explanation: Basic trigonometric identity.
✅ Example: sinθ=3/5 ⇒ cosθ=4/5

🔹 Formula: 1 + tan²θ = sec²θ

🔸 Explanation: Another standard identity.
✅ Example: tanθ=1 ⇒ sec²θ = 2

3. Calculus
🔹 Formula: d/dx(xⁿ) = nxⁿ⁻¹
🔸 Explanation: Power rule for derivatives.
✅ Example: d/dx(x³) = 3x²

🔹 Formula: ∫xⁿ dx = xⁿ⁺¹/(n+1) + C

🔸 Explanation: Power rule for integration.
✅ Example: ∫x² dx = x³/3 + C
