14. Solve the pair of simultaneous equations:

15. A car travels 90 km in 1 hour and 15 minutes. Find its speed in km/h.

26. A rectangular garden is 50 m long and 25 m wide. A path 1.5 m wide is built inside it along the boundary. Find the area of the path.

27. A train travels 240 km in 4 hours. Another train covers the same distance in 3 hours. Find their speeds and which train is faster, and by how much.

28. A student scored the following marks: 81, 74, 92, 85, 88

(c) Grade as per the following:

- A: 90% and above

- B: 80% – 89%

- C: 70% – 79%

- D: Below 70%

Section E: Simultaneous Equations Practice

(4 marks each – 20 Marks)

29. Solve: x + y = 16, x – y = 4


30. Solve using elimination: 4x + 3y = 20, 5x – 3y = 10

31. A number consists of two digits. The sum of the digits is 11. If the digits are reversed, the number becomes 45 more than the original. Find the number.

32. The sum of the prices of 3 pens and 4 pencils is ₹27. The sum of 2 pens and 3 pencils is ₹20. Find the cost of one pen and one pencil.

33. Solve graphically: x + y = 7, x – y = 1 (Draw graph and mark the intersection clearly)
