This tutorial is to show you how to install 3DX 1.0 and Alex 1.

0 DLL that will allow you to save/load


3DX room files.

Now some notes before we began.

1. Any props that are exclusive to 3DX 2.0 and 2.5 will not load in 1.0!!
Example: If your room is full of Glass tables (2.0+ prop) and you open the room in 1.0 all the
glass tables will be deleted.
So, make sure you know what props make up your room.
2. To log into 1.0, you cannot be dressed in 2.0+ props. If you are not sure make your Avatar
naked before logging into 1.0.
3. You have to install Alex DLL to allow 3DX 1.0 to open.
Note, this is a total different game file than 3DXChat 2.5 so if you have Rochi’s DLL installed
in 2.5 these instructions will do nothing to change that. 2.5 is different files.

Ok Let’s began.

First you need to Download 3DX 1.0

You should be downloading “3DXChat v1.339.rar” File

Once you have down loaded the file, you will need to “extract” it into a location that’s “DIFFERENT”
from your normal 3DX 2.5 game file.

I suggest you make a folder in your “My Documents” or “Personal” folders called 3DX1.0 and extract
the file there.
Note, If you do not know how to extract RAR files….go to the end of this document. There are instructions
there.

This folder would have an address that looks like “C:\Users\User\Documents\3DX1.0” and in that
location, will be a folder called “3DXChat v1.339”. This is the file you just extracted.
In there you will see the below. These are the game files 😊

Ok now we need to install Alex 1.0 DLL

You will see this window: (or something similar), Click here to Download
Once you have downloaded the file (it’s another RAR file) move it to the folder you created to put
the 3DX1.0 game files in. In this example, we used “C:\Users\User\Documents\3DX1.0”

Now Extract Alex’s DLL RAR file to this location.

You will now see Alex Files in the folder.

Now, hold down the “control key” and “left click” on the 3 files you see highlighted above.

“Drag” them into the “3DXChat v1.339” folder.


Drag into this folder

That leaves you with:

Open “3DXChat_Data”
Open “Managed” and you will see:

Highlight and “copy” these two files

Go back to the folder you installed “3DX 1.0” and open “3DXChat v1.339”

Open “3DXChat_Data”
Open “Managed”

Paste the 2 files you “copied” here.

You will get a pop up saying:

Click “Replace the files in the destination”

FINISHED 😊
Note, you “do not” need to “INSTALL” the game again.

All you need to do is right click on file and create a shortcut to your desk top.

Click the icon on your Desktop and the 3DX 1.0 will load 😊

When in 1.0 go to edit your room and you will see Alex DLL interface. Just press escape and you will
see the below UI. On the Left is the Load/Save Window.
Click Load or Save Room and a window will appear allowing you to select a file location to keep your
room files 😊

Note on “Extracting” Files.

Standard Windows 7/8/10 cannot open .RAR files so you will need to download simple programs to
do this.

WINRAR and 7ZIP are the most common. I like 7ZIP as its free http://www.7-zip.org/

Download and install the 32-bit if you do not know if your computer is 64bit.

WINRAR is also free…but it will constantly ask you to buy it….you “do not need to buy” WINRAR for
this as the free version is fine.
