Software Engineering – Self Study Component

Step 1: Open a private/incognito window on your preferred browser


Step 2: Paste the below link on the search bar

Step 3: Click on Log In on the top right > continue with Google. Use a Gmail ID
which contains your name [Emails such as [email protected] are not permitted].
Failure to comply will result in 0 marks being awarded.
Step 4: Click on create account, after verifying your credentials.

Step 5: Update your time-zone to GMT +05:30 (Delhi)

Step 6: After accepting Terms & Conditions, you will be redirected to the
certification page. Scroll down and click on Get Started
Step 7: Click on Launch. A new tab should open.

Step 8: Start the course

Note: During the course, do NOT navigate to the next module by clicking on the
link (shown in red). Always click on “Continue”, to save your progress & complete
the task.
Step 9: Once you’re done with all 3 Modules of Lesson 1 first click on Continue,
and then you can click on Exit the Course. [Look at the screenshot below]

Step 10: Scroll down and click on Next Activity to explore the next module.
Step 11: Once you’re done with the 3 modules of First Lesson, click on Exit Lesson.
You should be able to see 3 blue tick marks.

Step 12: There are 3 Lessons:


(A)Get Started with Jira Work Management
(B)Navigating Jira Work Management
(C)Best Practices in Jira Work Management
Complete the remaining 2 Lessons and follow the same steps from Step 8 – Step 11
if you have any queries.

on another tab to take screenshots your progress.
Take a screenshot of all modules completed in Lesson 1. Make sure your name is
visible in the screenshots [Click on the profile icon to view it > Windows + Shift + S
> Take screenshot].
Save this Screenshot as A1.jpeg/A1.png
Step 14: Make sure you save screenshots that show that all the modules have been
completed [a blue tick next to the modules]
For each lesson save the screenshots as
(A) A1.jpeg/png
(B) A2.jpeg/png
(C) A3.jpeg/png
Step 15: Failure to include your name (on the top right) in your screenshots will
result in a loss of marks. You can use the screenshots below for your reference.

Step 16: Take the assessment. Remember – once you submit an answer, you cannot
go back and change it!
Step 17: Once you pass the assessment, you will get your results
Note: The assessment has 25 questions. You need at least 80% to earn the badge. In
case you get <80% correct, retake the assessment [See 17.1]
Step 17.1: Retaking an assessment. If you score less than 80% in the assessment, you
can retake the assessment.

Click on Close, and you can retake the assessment by clicking on the highlighted
button shown below. You may have to scroll up in order to view this button.

Step 18: Take a screenshot of the percentage along with your Name. Save this as
A4.jpeg/png
Step 19: Click on close to earn your badge. Click on the share icon, and copy the
link as shown below. Paste this link to a notepad & save it. Saving the link is
mandatory.

Step 20: A Google Form will be shared with you, where you are expected to share
the link & the screenshots (in a ZIP folder with the folder name as your SRN). Do
not submit PDFs of the badge.
Deliverables:
1. ZIP folder containing the following screenshots [Folder Name = SRN]
a. A1.jpeg/png [Get Started with Jira Work Management]
b. A2.jpeg/png [Navigating Jira Work Management]
c. A3.jpeg/png [Best Practices in Jira Work Management]
d. A4.jpeg/png [Assessment Score with name]
