System Networking
The SDS can be used only after a license is purchased. The SDS license file is
stored in the SmartLogger. The SN of the SmartLogger uniquely maps to the
license.
The software version corresponding to the user interface (UI) screenshot in this section is
SmartPVMS Plant V600R024C10. The UI may vary by software versions and the screenshot
is for reference only.
Prerequisites
● You have logged in to the FusionSolar SmartPVMS.
● The SDS license has been loaded and is within the validity period.
Procedure

Weath Set the PV array Click Wind, Rain, Overcast, or Snow. In the
er in Wind, Rain, displayed dialog box, select the target array
Overcast, or and click Confirm.
Snow mode
based on weather
conditions for
protection.
By comparing the energy yields of arrays with and without the SDS, the energy
yield improvement effect is displayed, helping users try the SDS and evaluate the
effect.
Prerequisites
● You have logged in to the FusionSolar SmartPVMS.
● The SDS license has been loaded and is within the validity period.
Procedure
NOTE
The software version corresponding to the user interface (UI) screenshot in this section is
SmartPVMS Plant V600R024C10. The UI may vary by software versions and the screenshot

● The actual string capacity of inverters has been configured before smart
comparison.
● If the string capacities of Benchmark and Target Object are the same, you can
select Yield or Specific Yield as required. If the string capacities of Benchmark
and Target Object are different, you are advised to select Specific Yield as the
comparison item.
4. Click Add Benchmark and Add Target Object.
5. Click Calculate Benchmark, select the time segment in which the SDS is not
enabled in both scenarios, and calculate the benchmark value.
NOTE
● If abnormal data is found in the selected segment, click to delete the data.
6. Optional: Click Remove Abnormal Data. In the displayed dialog box, delete
the abnormal data and click OK.
7. Select a time segment after the SDS is enabled, and click Compare to view
the yield comparison.
NOTE
● Difference = [Yield of the target object (kWh) – Energy yield of the benchmark
(kWh)]/Energy yield of the benchmark (kWh) x 100%. If the difference is a positive
value, the yield is improved.
● Improvement over benchmark = [Energy yield of the target object (kWh)/Energy
yield of the benchmark (kWh)] x 100% – Benchmark value. If the improvement
over benchmark is a positive value, the yield is improved.
