Step 1.
Thread a needle with a forearm’s length of yarn.
Insert the needle from the bottom of the piece and
pull it out the hole between rounds 1 and 2 at about
45° angle to the top right from the center of the
magic loop.
Step 2.
Insert the needle two stitches to the left. Pull the
needle out of the same hole in the body that it
originally went into, so that both tails are coming
out of the same hole.
Step 3.
Pull both tails tight to create an indent.
Step 4.
Tie a knot with both tails, as close to the surface of
the body as possible. Hide the tails in the body.
Step 5.
Thread a needle with a forearm’s length of yarn.
Insert the needle somewhere near where the magic
loop is, and pull it out the hole between rounds 12
and 13 centered at the back of the body.
Step 6.
Insert the needle into a hole between rounds 12 and
13 on the direct opposite side, over the center of
the closed gap. Pull the needle out of the same
hole in the body that it originally went into, so that
both tails are coming out of the same hole.
Step 7.
Pull both tails tight to create an indent.
Step 8.
Tie a knot with both tails, as close to the surface of
the body as possible. Hide the tails in the body.

Step 1.
Thread a needle with a forearm’s length of white
yarn. Insert the needle somewhere on the back side
of the body, and pull it out the hole between rounds
5 and 6, one round to the left and one stitch up
from the right arm. Leave a 6-inch tail.
Step 2.
Insert the needle two rounds to the left and half a
stitch down, in the middle of the stitch’s V. Pull the
needle out of the same hole in the body that it
originally went into, so that both tails are coming
out of the same hole.
Step 3.
Tie a knot with both tails, as close to the surface of
the body as possible. Hide the tails in the body.
Step 4.
Thread a needle with an arm’s length of black yarn.
Insert the needle somewhere on the right side of
the body, and pull it out the same hole it was pulled
out in step 1. Leave a 6-inch tail.
Step 5.
Insert the needle two rounds to the left and half a
stitch down, in the middle of the stitch’s V, and pull
it out of the same hole it just came out of. Make
sure the line is straight on the bottom of the white
yarn.
Step 6.
Insert the needle two rounds to the left and half a
stitch down, in the middle of the stitch’s V. Pull the
needle out of the same hole in the body that it
originally went into, so that both tails are coming
out of the same hole. Make sure the line is making a
curve on the top of the white yarn.
Step 7.
Tie a knot with both tails, as close to the surface of
the body as possible. Hide the tails in the body.
