involved extracting insights from ride-sharing service data to support business decisions.
The primary tools used in this project included Python, Excel, SQL, and Power BI. The
responsibilities ranged from cleaning raw datasets, conducting exploratory data analysis
(EDA), writing efficient SQL queries, to building interactive dashboards that visually
communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) such as ride trends, revenue
breakdowns, city-wise performance, and customer behaviour.

CHAPTER-2
WORK RESPONSIBILITIES
2.1 Work Responsibilities
During my internship at Harshith Data Science and IT Solutions LLP, I was entrusted
with a wide range of responsibilities aligned with the typical tasks handled by a Data
Analyst. These responsibilities were aimed at giving me practical exposure to data-driven
decision-making and the tools used in industry settings. The major responsibilities assigned
to me are described in detail below:
One of the first responsibilities I undertook was assisting in collecting, compiling, and
integrating data from various sources such as internal databases, CSV files, Excel
spreadsheets, and APIs. This helped me understand the significance of gathering consistent
and reliable data before beginning any analysis.
Raw data often contains inconsistencies, missing values, duplicates, and formatting issues.
I was tasked with preparing the data for analysis by cleaning and pre-processing it. This
involved:
Exploratory Data Analysis is a critical phase in understanding data. I carried out EDA using
visual and statistical methods to identify trends, patterns, correlations, and anomalies in the
dataset.
Another key responsibility was to develop meaningful dashboards that presented insights
in an intuitive and accessible manner for non-technical stakeholders. I used visualization
tools to convert raw data into visually appealing charts and graphs.
I was responsible for summarizing the analytical findings into clear, actionable reports.
These reports were reviewed during internal meetings and helped the team in decision-
making.
I worked under the supervision of a senior data analyst and regularly interacted with team
members including developers, business analysts, and the project manager. This helped me
enhance my communication, teamwork, and task management skills.
CHAPTER-3

significantly to my learning and professional development.
• Wrote complex SQL queries to extract specific reports and aggregated summaries.
• Joined tables to derive customer-level insights from transaction data.
• Scheduled queries for weekly performance dashboards.
In the final week of the internship, I completed all assigned tasks and submitted the final
documentation, including the project report titled “Ola Data Analysis ” and the Power BI
dashboard developed during the previous weeks.
In the final and extended week of the internship, additional refinements were made based
on mentor feedback from the project presentation and review meeting in Week 14. This
week was focused on quality assurance and preparing the final submission package.
Key Activities:
• Dashboard Refinements:
o Incorporated additional filters and visual enhancements into the Power BI
dashboard (e.g., monthly trends, city-wise breakdown).
o Improved layout readability and mobile responsiveness.
• Final Documentation:
o Polished the project documentation including proper formatting, addition of
figures, and consistency checks.
o Compiled all weekly logs, code scripts, and user manuals into a single final
report folder.
• Mentor Review & Feedback Acknowledgment:
o Submitted the complete project files to the mentor for final approval.
o Acknowledged all feedback received throughout the internship and
documented the learnings for future reference.
• Final Submission to College:
o Submitted the internship report (with title page, certificate,
acknowledgment, chapters, and appendices) to the academic guide/faculty
coordinator.
o Ensured all components (including signed work diary and certificates) were
complete and formatted as per college guidelines.
