4 a For the network as shown in figure, find the current I by using Thevenin’s
and Norton’s theorems

If R4 is variable resistance, find the condition for the maximum power


transfer and also find that power
b For the network as shown in figure obtain the Thevenin’s and Norton’s
equivalent circuits. If the variable resistance of R is placed at ab terminals
find the maximum power that has to be transfer to that resistor

equivalent circuits.
If the resistance of 10 ohms is placed across ab, find the current
flowing through it for the above two cases.
If the variable resistance of R is placed at ab terminals find the
maximum power that has to be transfer to that resistor

d Find the value of I by using Superposition theorem for the network as


shown in figure
