was left after purchasing the plot?

d. The distance between a city in India and a city in the United States is 24,800
km. An aeroplane travels at a speed of 800 km/h. If it takes 400 litres of
aviation fuel for the plane to be in air for one hour, how many litres of petrol
will be used for this journey?
e. In Swaroop Sweets Shop, if a cookie needs 8 g of ingredients, how many
cookies can be made with their stock of 44.4 kg of ingredients?

f. A truck carries 65 boxes. Each of these boxes contains 80 smaller packages.


Each of these smaller packages contains 15 toy soldiers. How many toy
soldiers are being carried in the truck?
g. A daily newspaper has 12 pages. Every day, 11,980 copies are printed. How
many pages are printed in all every day?

h. The number of sheets of paper available for making notebooks is 1,25,000.


Each sheet makes 12 pages of a notebook. Each notebook contains 300 pages.
How many notebooks can be made from the paper available?
i. Soap is packed in boxes, each weighing 15 kg 800 g. How many such boxes
can be loaded in a truck which cannot carry beyond 4500 kg?

j. To stitch a shirt 2 m 15 cm cloth is needed. Out of 40 m cloth, how many


shirts can be stitched and how much cloth will remain?
