Final Term Questionnaire 2024 – 25

Grade 6 Subject: Islamiyat
Chapter 1: al Qur’an Kareem
Q. Write translation of the following verses.

Translation: “O my Lord! Open for me my chest (grant me self – confidence, contentment, and
boldness) and ease my task for me; and remove the incorrectness from my speech that they may
understand what I say”.
Chapter 4: Good Conduct and Character
Exercise Question a
Q1: Describe some deeds of generosity that the Holy Prophet’s companions showed
during their lives.
Answer: Hazrat Khadija (R.A): was known for her charity and generosity. The Doors of
her house were always open for the needy and the orphans and She (R.A) bought many
slaves from their cruel masters, and set them free.
Hazrat Usman (R.A): bought a well from Jews who did not allow the Muslims to use its
water, and gifted it to the Muslims.
Hazrat Ayesha (R.A): was also a very generous lady. She would forgo her own needs
when she saw someone else’s need and gave away whatever she had, to them.
Islam teaches us to be charitable and feel responsible for the poor and less fortunate in our
society. It makes sure that no one is left helpless.
Q2: As Muslims, how we are instructed to spend our wealth?
Answer: : All wealth belongs to Allah. It is He who has given it to us to use it the way He
has commanded us. We are just the custodians. Wealth is Allah’s amanat.
As Muslims, we are instructed to spend our wealth on the needs of our family, relatives,
orphans, and the needy around us. However, we are told not to waste or over spend our
wealth, so that may not become a liability for others.
“He, who has gathered wealth and counted it, thinks that his wealth will make him
last forever! No, never. He will surely be thrown into the crushing Fire (hell).
Q3: Explain moderation in the light of Quran. Describe how you would practice
moderation in your daily life?
Answer: The Quran calls the Muslims, “Ummat-e-Wast” – Moderate people. In every
field of life, Muslims are told to follow the middle path. To have a balance I life is not only
a virtue but it is also a secret of happiness and health.
When Holy Prophet S.A.W.W. found that some of his companions prayed all night and
observed fast for several months continuously, he S.A.W.W. told his companions not to
overdo it. “I pray but also sleep; I fast but also eat, even though I am truly afraid of
Allah. After all, your bodies also have a right on you”.
In everyday life we must practice moderation, when we speak it should not be so loud as to
be ear splitting nor so soft that other person cannot hear. Similarly, we must spend our
money moderately, we should eat enough to fill our stomachs and not to become gluttons
as overeating would cause health problems.
Q4: Islam has given us golden rules to follow in our lives. How does the lesson of
equality stand in today’s social setup?
Answer: We are all children of the same parents, Adam A.S and Hawwa R.A. and are
made from the earth (clay). No one is higher or lower than the other. We all are the same
for Allah. Allah calls us “Ashraful Makhlooqat” the best of his creation.
Example of equality in Today’s Social Set-up:
A very clear demonstration of equality is made during “Hajj”, when all differences
between people are eliminated. All Hajis wear the same kind of dress, the “Ihram”, and
bow down together shoulder to shoulder in front of the same “Ka’aba”. This is a clear
demonstration of equality in our social setup.
The Holy Prophet S.A.W.W. was an example of equality throughout his life. He S.A.W.W.
made no distinction between master and slaves, rich and poor, Arab and non-Arab,
Mohajirs and Ansar.

Q5: What does Quran say in Surah Maida about being just o the enemy? What does it
mean?
Answer: Punishments were the same for the rich and the poor, the high and the low.
The Quran warns Muslims:
“O believers! Stand out firmly for Allah as just witnesses to justice and do not let
hatred of others make you do wrong and move away from justice”. (Surah Al –
Maida, 5:8)
It means that when it comes to justice, let nothing affect you, neither you own self, nor your
parents, or relatives if the demand of justice happens to be against them, stay with justice.
Hostility against an enemy should not affect your judgment of Justice. Allah command us
to be just with everyone whether a friend or an enemy.
Q6: What do you mean by dignity of labour? How would you not be dependent on
others?
Answer: Labour means physical work or working with our hands.
If our dear Prophet SAWW could work with his hands, surely we should too as there is
great dignity in labour. A person who is ready to work with his own hands will not be
dependent on anyone. He will participate in the development around him. His family and
the society will benefit from his participation and not find him as a burden. He will not be
left begging and penniless and will have self-respect. He will never be proud and arrogant.
There is nothing sweeter than enjoying the fruits of your own labour.
Q7: What causes air pollution?
Answer: Pollution in air is mainly caused by smoke from factories, cars and buses. Smoke
emitting cars and buses should be repaired immediately. The best way to fight air pollution
is to grow more trees and they produce oxygen which purifies the air.

Answer: In this lesson, two things called Sadqa are:
1. Removing garbage and thorns from the path of other people.
2. Holy Prophet Muhammad SAWW encouraged all Muslims to plant trees, do
farming and never to cut a green tree.
Q9: How did our Holy Prophet (S.A.W.W) promoted a clean environment?

Muslims to plant trees and do farming and never to cut the green plants. He called planting
trees a Sadqa. He himself, along with his companions took part in tree plantation. Forest are
a big source of rich environment, so these should be preserved.
Q10: What should we do to keep our drinking water clean?
Answer: Water is very important for our survival. We use water not only to drink but in
cooking and cleaning too.
Unclean water can cause serious health problems. We must not throw waste near any
source of water meant for drinking purpose. Water containers should always be kept clean
and covered. Open drains should be closed, leaking pipes and taps should be repaired, and
water should not be wasted. To make sure the water we drink is clean and we must boil it
before drinking.
Q11: Why it is important that we help our needy relatives?
Answer: As Muslims, we are told to look after our relatives. We must help them if they
need anything. When we giving charity, we must first see if any of our relatives need it and
if so, it should be first given to them. With our help they will not go to the strangers,
begging for help. Our dear Prophet (S.A.W.W) said:
“One who cuts off relations with his relatives will not go to paradise.”
Q12: How would you welcome a guest? Do the guests have any responsibilities?
Answer: Guest should be welcomed and treated with respect. They should be given proper
attention, fed well, made as comfortable as possible. Guests bring Allah’s blessings and
must be treated well.
