How to Download and Install Proteus and Arduino IDE,

and Add the Arduino Library to Proteus

Step 1: Download the Required Files
1. Download the ZIP package containing everything from the following link:
Download ArduinowithProteus.7z
2. Once the download is complete, extract the ZIP file using WinRAR or 7-Zip.
3. Inside the extracted folder "ArduinoWithProteus", you will find:
o Arduino_IDE (Portable Arduino IDE 2.3.4)
o Arduino_Library (Arduino Library for Proteus)
o Proteus Professional v8 (Proteus software with installation instructions)

Set Up Arduino IDE (Portable)

• No installation is required!

1. Open the "Arduino_IDE" folder.

2. Inside, you will find Arduino IDE 2.3.4 (Portable Version).
3. Open Arduino.exe to launch the Arduino IDE.

Step 2: Install and Activate Proteus Professional v8

1. Open the "Proteus Professional v8" folder.
2. Inside, you will find the installation file for Proteus.
3. Read the "Read Me.txt" file carefully.
4. Follow the instructions inside "Installation instructions for Proteus Professional
v8.16 SP3".
5. Complete the installation and activation of Proteus.

Step 3: Add Arduino Library to Proteus

Once Proteus is installed, you need to add the Arduino library for proper simulation.

Steps:

1. Open the "Arduino_Library" folder.

2. Copy all files inside this folder.
3. Navigate to the Proteus Library folder:
4. C:\ProgramData\Labcenter Electronics\Proteus 8 Professional\LIBRARY

(If you don’t see the ProgramData folder, enable hidden files in Windows File
Explorer.)

5. Paste all copied files into the LIBRARY folder.

Step 4: Open Proteus
Now that everything is set up, you can open Proteus and start working with Arduino
simulations.

To check if the Arduino library is installed:

1. Open Proteus.
2. Click Pick Devices (P).
3. Search for Arduino (e.g., "Arduino Uno").
4. If the Arduino boards appear, the library is successfully added.

Final Notes
• Proteus requires activation, so ensure you follow the installation guide provided in
the "Read Me.txt" file.
• The Arduino IDE provided is portable, meaning you can use it directly without
installation.
• If you face any issues with Proteus library detection, double-check that all files are
correctly copied to the Proteus LIBRARY folder.
