Critically analyse the performance of a familiar business of your choice.
Objective:
The objective of this case study is to critically evaluate the performance of a selected
business, examining how effectively the company is managing its business goals.
Instructions:
. Introduction:
o Provide a brief overview of the chosen business.
o Discuss the significance of the chosen business in society.
. Identification:
o Present an overview of the company’s current situation.
o Identify and describe the strategies, significant problems, and issues
facing the management.
. Analysis and Evaluation:
o Analyse the marketing, production, management competence, and
other factors contributing to the organization’s strategic successes and
failures.
o Assess whether the firm possesses valuable resources, strengths, and
competencies, and if so, evaluate whether it is leveraging them
effectively.
o Examine if the firm’s strategy is yielding satisfactory results, and
explain the reasons for its success or failure.
o Determine whether the firm’s competitive position is strengthening or
weakening and provide reasons for your conclusion.
. Recommendations:
o Provide a set of recommendations that address all the problems and
issues identified and analyzed.
o Explain how your recommendations will resolve the identified problems.
Ensure that the company has the financial capacity to implement your
recommendations and that they are feasible in terms of acceptance by
the relevant stakeholders and the organization’s competence to execute
them.
o Avoid recommending any actions you would not be willing to undertake
if you were in the management’s position.
