- As with all installations, please create a restore point before installing any software - Run the installshield as an administrator, simply right-click and select "Run as Administrator" on the setup file. Please take note on the following startup procedures for Windows Vista / 7 / 8 and beyond:

If you are running Year and Day Planner or CleverNote for the first time, simply right-click on
their icons and select Run as Administrator. You will need to do this only once. This will ensure proper functioning of the applications.

On running the Recent Documents Viewer application for the first time, you will need to set it to
run as an administrator in a different way. Right-click on the application's icon and select the Properties... option on the bottom of the popup-menu. Now select the Compatibility tab on the open window. On the bottom of the page, check the Run as an Administrator option. Now just click on the OK button. This will ensure proper operation of the application. Please also remember to enable file extensions in Windows Explorer to use the recent document's list successfully. If any other application has a problem running, simply follow the same above steps to fix it. The help files will not open in Windows Vista or Windows 7 / 8. It displays a message that says it does not support "WinHlp32.exe" anymore. The Windows Help program (WinHlp32.exe) is no longer included with Windows Vista or Windows 7 / 8. Users who want to view 32-bit .hlp files must download the program from the Microsoft Download Center, and then install it on their computers. All 3rd party software developers are prohibited from distributing this file with their software installation(s).

The "Recent Documents" application has a new "File Portal" feature for easier file transfer

over LAN networks. Simply drag and drop any file or document onto the zone, and it will be transported immediately to the destination I.P. address or PC host name -(the recipient must also be running the same application). Please also remember to enable file extensions in Windows Explorer to use the recent document's list successfully. You may drag a file or document from the desktop or the recent documents list, or send the same received file back to where it came from, by simply dragging it onto the drop zone. It is just that simple to use.
