JOB DESCRIPTION
We are excited to announce a number of openings for the role of Electrical Design Engineer. In
this role, you will be responsible for the electrical and hardware elements of our controls systems,
translating mechanical designs into working solutions. This includes creating Sensor Actuator
Layouts (SALs) and developing ePLAN schematics while ensuring the design meets performance
standards and complies with regional and company requirements.
WHAT YOU’LL BE HANDLING
• Reviewing of mechanical layouts (x-refs) and populating the x-refs with the electrical and
controls hardware components
• Producing detailed design documentation including; Sensor Actuator Layout drawings,
cable routes, Bill of Materials and design calculations.
• Making sure that all system control components and architectures are within the correct
design limitations for that type of system, i.e. Cable Capacity, Voltage Drop, Fault Currents,
Profibus runs, Profinet runs and working distances, etc.
• Creation of a full set of schematic circuit diagrams and all associated reports using ePLAN
• Applying the company standard installation components wherever possible and where not
possible provide a cost effective alternative solution, which maintains the aim of minimising
costs and installation time.
