Objectives

Understanding Self- Students will learn the key elements of introducing


Introduction: themselves, such as name, age, where they lives, and
hobbies in English.

Laptop To display examples of self-introductions.

Self Introduction Video from YouTube Containing self-introduction samples.

Procedure :
A. Introduction
Start with praying first, and introducing ourselves as a English teacher: Pray first to God,
and then start by telling your name as a English Teacher. It can be an example of self
introduction

Material Explanation: Explain the Material that we gonna Teach to students


Engage Students by starting with interesting question : If you meet a new friend, how do
you introduce yourself?" Encourage students to share their ideas.

Explain the Importance : Tell students that self-introduction is useful when making new
friends, meeting teachers, or joining a new group.

Exploring Self-Introduction

Example of Self-Introduction : Display a simple self-introduction video from YouTube on


the Laptop:
Hello. My name is Nelvira Nayla Kariza Somba. I am 13 years old. I live in Manado. I
like Reading books and making Animation videos. Nice to meet you (Just Example)

Ask students some guiding questions :


1. What is her name?
2. How old is she?
3. What does she like?
4. ETC

C. Task

Writing task Ask each student to write a short self-introduction. Example sentence
starters:
Hello. My name is…

I am … years old.

I live in…

My hobbies are…

Nice to meet you.


D. Submission and discussion

Discussion Randomly select a few students to read their introduction aloud. Praise
their effort and ask guiding questions like: "Did everyone understand
your introduction?

Submission Ask the student to submit their Self Introduction text

Conclusion

Review :
Summarize that self-introduction is important for making friends and expressing
theirselves.
