Animation Mode (Controls and

Options)
This command is supported in Deswik.Draft.

Turn on 'animation mode' to create animations of selected entities to visualize processes

such as strip mining or dump scheduling from start to finish.

Entities that are invisible due to the current animation state will also be considered invisible by the
 selection generator. In other words, when you run a command in animation mode and you are
asked to select entities, these entities will be excluded when you select Visible entities.

Following this topic:

Move the slider manually to play the animation

from a specified point in the recording. Each of the tick
marks below the slide represents a frame.

F/S: Enter the number of frames per second to use when

playing the animation. The higher the number, the faster the
playback. The default is '10'.

This number is independent of how fast the file is recorded or

 the F/S used for 'normal animation viewing' as set in the
animation controls. See Record Animation for more
information on this process.

Click to create new or edit existing animation settings.

The Animations Options dialog appears, which has four tabs.
Snapshots of each tab follow, along with instructions for all
fields.

Click to refresh the Model Space based on the current

animation options.

Click to clear the animation settings, and enable both
the and buttons.

Click to export the active animation as a Deswik.vCAD

file with a *.dvf extension. When prompted, browse for a
location for the output file. Animations exported in this format
can only be played in Deswik.vCAD.

Visible layers and any layers included in the animation settings

 (regardless of visibility) will be exported. If you want to
include a layer that is not included in the animation settings
(for example, a topography), be sure to make it visible in the
Model Space before exporting.

Deswik.vCAD is a standalone player application for

viewing animations in *.dvf, *.vdcl, or *.dcf files without
requiring a license. Animation dates will be extracted
from the Deswik.Sched file (*.dsf) during export, so the
*.dvf file will not require a *.dsf file for viewing the
animation. Access the Help files for Deswik.vCAD for
more details on using the viewer.

If the entities being exported have attributes assigned, the

Attributes To Export dialog appears.
