Family - How many siblings do you have? I have only one younger
sister. Her name is Saylkham and she is eight years old,basically in a
third grade. My personal opinion about her is she is just a mini version
of me. Sometimes i look at her, i remember my childhood memories.
And how she acts, her behavior is all how i was when i was same age as
her. How close are you with your siblings? I’m not that close to her
because of our disparity age. I’m a teenager and she’s a child. We argues
a lot, to be honest. But we have same interests on something and
behavior . When we find something we like, we would do the same thing
again and again without feeling tired. So it makes us reconnected Do
you spend a lot of time together? Not really. I have a lots of course and
traffic, school etc. it made me feel like I don’t belong in my family, to be
honest. When i get home, i would just do my homework and sleep. Thats
kind of sad. If have enough free time, i would play with them or
spending time together What’s the funniest childhood memory you have
with them? I don’t remember at all but when we play volleyball or
badminton, even though she’s tired, she won’t stop playing becouse she
likes what she’s doing there. I have same behavior as her and i like this
kind of sports too. This sports made us reconnected How different are
your personalities from each other? We are so different from each other.
I’m a quite calm and likes to organize something but she’s opposite to
me. It made us hard to communicate and be with each other. But i hope
she’ll become like me when she gets older
Do you go to family gatherings?yes i always go with my famile when i
have free time. But I don’t have anyone to talk or do something with .
But it’s pretty fun to watch elders making conversation with each other,
kids playing like there is no tomorrow. I usually be alone there but being
w my ancestors is enough because maybe in a two or three years, I can’t
be with all of them How often do you have family gatherings? It’s not
that regular type of things. I usually go to some birthday parties, and our
national celebrations. Or in a daily, visiting to our ancestors What’s your
favorite thing about family gatherings? Hmm i feel kind of lonely there
bcs I don’t have any cousins that same age as me. But being with them is
enough because it feels safe, comforting to me Do you enjoy big family
events or prefer smaller ones? I prefer big family events so that i can be
with all of them. In a smaller events, i always thought “if only they were
here” so bigger one is more relatable What is the most memorable
family gathering you’ve attended? What kinds of activities do you do
during family gatherings? Usually, i’ll help with my mom or aunts.

Not really. I have a lot of classes, traffic, and school responsibilities,
which sometimes makes me feel like I don’t belong in my family. When
I get home, I just do my homework and go to sleep. It’s kind of sad. If I
had more free time, I would definitely play with her and spend more
time with my family.
Q: What’s the funniest childhood memory you have with them?
I don’t remember clearly, but when we play volleyball or badminton
together, even if she’s tired, she never stops playing because she loves it
so much. I’m the same way—I enjoy these sports too. Playing together
really helps us bond.

We’re very different. I’m quite calm and like to stay organized, but she’s

Family Gatherings

Yes, I always go with my family when I have free time. But I usually
don’t have anyone to talk to or do things with. Still, it’s fun to watch the
elders talk to each other and the kids play like there’s no tomorrow. I
often sit alone, but just being with my family is enough. I know that
maybe in two or three years, I won’t have the chance to be with all of
them.
Q: How often do you have family gatherings?
They don’t happen regularly. Usually, I go to birthday parties or national
celebrations. Sometimes, we also visit our ancestors as a daily family
activity.
Q: What’s your favorite thing about family gatherings?
Honestly, I feel a bit lonely during gatherings because I don’t have any
cousins around my age. But still, being with them gives me a feeling of
safety and comfort, and that’s enough for me.
Q: Do you enjoy big family events or prefer smaller ones?
I prefer big family events because I get to see everyone. At smaller ones,
I always think, “If only the others were here.” So bigger events feel
more complete and relatable to me.
Q: What kinds of activities do you do during family gatherings?
Usually, I help my mom or my aunts with cooking or preparing things.
