Founded In 1968, It Played A Crucial Role In The Development Of Microprocessors, Which Are The Heart Of Most Modern Computers.
Intel Is Renowned For Its Innovation In Various Technology Sectors, Including Personal Computing, Data Centers, And Artificial
Intelligence.

Intel’s CEO is Pat Gelsinger, one of the most significant engineers in the company’s history. He co-designed the 80386

[News] INTEL DELAYS INNOVATION 2024 EVENT AMID FINANCIAL CHALLENGES, AROUSING PUBLIC’S

emiconductor giant Intel reported weak quarterly earnings, with announcements made on a massive 15% cut of workforce and an over 20% reduction on
capital expenditures in 2024. The event, which is previously scheduled in late September, is now rescheduled for some time in 2025, according to a
message the company posted on the Innovation 2024 website. However, Intel did not provide a clear timeline for when the event will return.

Regarding the issue, Intel has now extended the warranty by two full years on 24 different 13th Gen and 14th Gen desktop chips, including Core i5, Core i7,
and Core i9 models, after determining that many CPUs based on its Raptor Lake architecture are vulnerable to permanent damage. The problem stems from
excessive voltage, causing some CPUs to degrade irreversibly.

ntel introduced the world's first microprocessor, the Intel 4004, in 1971. This groundbreaking
chip marked a significant milestone in computing history, as it integrated the functions of a
computer's central processing unit (CPU) onto a single chip.
The Intel 4004 was initially designed for instructions per second. Intel's innovation with
calculators and other simple devices, but it laid the 4004 not only transformed technology but
the foundation for the development of more also set the stage for the rapid advancement of
advanced microprocessors. It had a 4-bit digital electronics, making it a pivotal moment
architecture and operated at a clock speed of in technological history.

I ntel purchased the rights from Nippon Calculating Machine Corporation and launched the Intel®
4004 processor and its chipset with an advertisement in the November 15, 1971, issue of
Electronic News , ” Announcing A New Era In Integrated Electronics.”

That’s when the Intel® 4004 became the first general-purpose programmable processor on the
market—a "building block" that engineers could purchase and then customize with software to
perform different functions in a wide variety of electronic devices.

7.1. HOW INTEL WORKS

 Intel makes most of its money through selling its products. Currently, it
dominates the microprocessor and PC markets. Intel majorly produces
microprocessor chips, motherboard units, central processing units, etc., for
manufacturers of computer systems. Other products include the Xeon
processors, Optane, one API, and Intel Foundry Service.
