Material: Simple Present Tense

- Introduction; Learning Purpose


After going through a series of learning activities, students can: Giving and asking for
someone’s information by explaining someone’s habits using the Simple Present
Tense pattern.

- Opening
The teaching material in this activity focus on providing information related to the
quality of people, animals and object that can be found by students in everyday life.
In addition, it also introduces students to how to give and ask for someone’s
information through someone’s habits by using the Simple Present Tense pattern.

- Core; Modeling
Well, our students will learn about Simple Present Tense on

Definition, Formulas, and Example Sentences of Simple Present Tense


Simple Present Tense describes an activity that is currently taking place.
Simple Present Tense Patterns

Present
Simple S + V1 (s+es) + O + Adverb
Simple Present Tense
We use the simple present to indicate general truth and a regular or habitual action in the present.
Negative form: S + do/does + not + V1 + O + Adverb
Interrogative form: Do/does + S + V1 + O + Adverb
Adverb of time: Ever …, Always, Often, Seldom, etc.
Example:
1. Andi always walks to school every day.
2. Andi doesn’t get on a car every day.
3. Does Andi go to school by bus every day.
