Your MoGrt Instruction Guide

Depending on the template you purchased the instructions will vary. There are two
versions of control systems, V01 and V02. Some of the older templates will look
different, have a different layout and have some extra controls. In This document you
will be given instructions on how to use both systems.

Importing your MoGrt into Premiere Pro


1. Open your Premiere Pro project.
2. Go to the "Essentials" workspace by selecting "Window" > "Workspace" >
"Essentials."

3. In the Essential Graphics panel, click on the "Browse" tab


4. Navigate to the location where the MoGrt file is saved on your computer by
pressing the Install Motion Graphics Template button on the bottom right
corner
5. Select the MoGrt file and click "Open" to import it into Premiere Pro.
6. When you have imported your MoGrt it will appear in the Essential Graphics
panel on the left

7. Drag your template on to the timeline - If you are unable to complete this step
you may need to set up a new sequence
a. Go to File/New/Sequence, name your project and click Ok
8. If you get a Clip Mismatch warning it’s ok! Just select “Change Sequence
Settings”

V01 - Customizing your MoGrt:


After importing the MoGrt, you can change certain parameters of the template
to get the look you want. To do this you will use the control system in the
Essential Graphics panel.

1. Click on your MoGrt in the timeline to activate the Edit tab in the Essential
Graphics panel. The Edit tab contains all the controls available for your project
2. Here you'll see various properties that you can customize, such as Styles, Media,
Text, Graphics and Background
3. For the majority of our templates you will have the following controls, they may
appear in a different order but they will all work in the same way. To view the
controls use the arrow to the left of each menu to open
a. STYLE SELECTION
b. MEDIA
c. TEXT
d. GRAPHICS
e. BACKGROUND

STYLE SELECTION

Style Selection is a dropdown menu that allows you easily switch between different
styles in your template. Note: Not all templates have multiple style

1. You can see in the image below that the style changes depending on what you
select from the dropdown menu
2. To change the style click on the dropdown menu under STYLE SELECTION and
select the style you want. The view port will change automatically as will the
controls (the controls may vary depending on the style)
MEDIA

Media input groups allow you to add your own media to the template.

Note: Not all templates have a media replacement option

1. To add your media simply import from the Import tab or drag it to Premiere Pro
project panel
2. From the Project Panel drag your media on to the Media replacement control
box in the Essential Graphics Panel
3. Your media clip will automatically appear in your template - Repeat this step for
all media input slots

TEXT

Text input slots allow you to add your own text to the template and edit the properties.

The main controls you will find in the TEXT group are:

● Text Input
● Font style and properties
● Line Spacing. Note: This feature is not available in all templates
● Color
● Position
1. To add your own text open the TEXT/Text 01 Dropdown menu
2. Source Text - Type your text into the Edit Text 01 box. Your text will
automatically update in the viewport
3. Font - Use the Text Properties to change your font and the slider to change the
font size
4. Text Line Spacing - To change the distance between your words use the Line
Spacing slider - this only works if you have more than one word on two lines or
more. Note: This feature is not available in all templates
5. Text Color - To change the color of your text use the Text 01 Color control
to select the color of your choice

Note: In this example the cutout parts of the text are not affected by the color
control

6. Text Position - Use the X & Y values beside the Text 01 Position control to move
your text

7. Repeat these steps for each Text Group


GRAPHICS

This control system allows you to edit the color and sometimes position of graphics
within the template. These controls will vary depending on the graphics used in your
template.

In this example template the controls you will find in the GRAPHICS group are:

● Color controls for Transition shapes


● Opacity of transition shapes
● Text overlay color
● Text overlay Opacity
1. Use the GRAPHICS control to change the look of your template
2. Transition Shape 01 Color and Transition Shape 02 Color changes the color of the
shapes used for the transition
3. You can change the Opacity of the shape 02 by using the Shape 02 Opacity
Slider.
4. Text Shape Overlay Color changes the color overlay of the cut out text
5. Use the slider of the Text Shape Overlay Opacity to change the opacity of the
cut out text

BACKGROUND

Background controls allow edit the color and sometimes opacity of the background
within the template

Note: This feature is not available in all templates

1. Use the Background Color Controls to change the colors of the background.
Simply click on the colored box and change the color to one of your choosing
2. To Remove the background toggle the Background On/Off checkbox control.

Note: in some cases you may have an opacity slide here

V02 - Customizing your MoGrt:


Importing your MoGrt into Premiere Pro is exactly the same for V01 and V02.
V02 templates are older than V01 the controls structure in the Essential Graphics
panel may vary. The Text Properties won’t be available for a portion of these
templates, however you will be able to edit your text, the color and the position.

STYLE SELECTION
1. To change the Style of your template move the slider from right to left

2. You will see that in V02 templates there is no Group/folder structure and each
group of controls is under a heading. For example all the text controls are under
the heading TEXT and will go as follows
TEXT
● Source Text - This is where you add your text
● Color - This changes the color of your text
● Scale - This will change the size of your text
● Opacity - This is change the opacity of your text
● X Position - This will move your text in a horizontal direction
● Y Position - This will move your text in a vertical direction
GRAPHICS

Here you can change the color of the graphics in your templates. These controls will
vary depending on the style of your template

1. GRID/STYLE - This will change the style of your grid graphics


2. GRID/Color - This will change the color of your grid graphics
3. GRID/Opacity - This will change the opacity of the grid graphics
MASTER CONTROLS

The Master controls will allow you to move and resize the text and graphics together.
This control may be called GLOBAL CONTROLS in some templates and is often found
at the top of the Essential Graphics panel

1. MASTER/Scale - This will change the size of the text and graphics at the same
time
2. MASTER/X Position - This will move the text and graphics in a horizontal
position
3. MASTER/Y Position - This will move the text and graphics in a vertical position

GLITCH

1. To turn the Glitch effect select the Glitch Effect On/Off checkbox control

Note: This control may vary or may not be available depending on your
template style
Duration control

1. This control changes the length of the animation in the template. Pull the slider
to the left to shorten the length of the animation in your template
2. This control is often found at the top of the Essentials Graphics panel

Note: This control does not change the length of your clip in the timeline, you will
need to change that manually if required
