A Two-Day Workshop on

Basics of MATLAB and its Engineering Application


Overview
The workshop mainly focuses on the basics of MATLAB and its applications in engineering
fields. Using MATLAB, a student can analyze data, develop algorithms, and create models and
applications. The language, tools and built-in math functions provide to explore multiple
approaches. MATLAB can be used for a range of applications including signal processing and
communications, image and video processing, control systems, test and measurement.
Workshop Content
Day-1
• Introduction to MATLAB
• Basic commands in MATLAB
• Basic mathematics using MATLAB
• Control flow and operators
• Toolboxes in MATLAB
• Introduction to MATLAB
Day-2
• Signal Processing in MATLAB
• Control system application in MATLAB

• Practice in Simulink
• Introduction to GUI deployment in MATLAB
• Practice of GUI building
Outcome
In this two-day workshop, almost all the basics of MATLAB have been introduced to the
students. In the next quarter, another workshop on more specialized topics using MATLAB
will be organized which will be a continuation of the recently conducted one.

TECHNICAL FEST
ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT DESIGN COMPETITION
This competition aims to judge the knowledge of participants about the printed circuit board
(PCB) design and fundamentals of electronic circuits. Participants will show the capability to
examine and build fundamental analog and simple electrical circuits by soldering components
on PCB, assembling them, and ensuring their proper functionality.
Required Budget: 35000 INR
• Purchase of various electronic components like Diode, Resistor, Transistor, PCBs etc
• Soldering rods & Kits and safety glass & Mats
• T-shirts for coordinators & Participants
• Certificate Printing
• I, II & III Prizes for students for quiz after session
