Unit – 3: Operational Amplifier (OP-AMP)

1. Determine the output voltage in the network shown in Fig.

2. Design a non-inverting amplifier to provide voltage gain of 20. The value of resistances
should not exceed 20 Kilo ohm.

3. Design an inverting amplifier having voltage gain of 20.

4. Determine the output voltage of an op-amp for the input voltages of 300 micro volts and
240 micro volts. The differential gain is 105 and the CMRR is 50 decibels. Also determine the
error voltage and percentage error due to common mode.

5. Design a circuit using operational amplifier which satisfies following equation:

Vout = 2V1 - 4V2 + 6V3 .

6. Determine the output voltage in the following circuit.

7. Determine the output voltage in the following circuit. Given V1 = 2V and V2 = 4V
respectively. Also find the output if all the resistances are of 1k Ohm.

8. Determine the output voltage Vo in the following circuit, if V1 = 2V and V2 = 4V

respectively. Also find the output if all the resistances are of 1K Ohm.

9. Calculate the output voltage for the given circuit.

10. A non-inverting amplifier has a voltage gain of 20. The input signal is a sinusoidal
waveform given by: vin(t) = 0.5sin(2π×104t)V . The operational amplifier used has a slew
rate of 0.5 V/µs. Determine whether the op-amp can faithfully reproduce the output
waveform without distortion due to slew rate limitations.

11. A non-inverting amplifier is designed with a gain of 15. The input signal is a sine wave
with a peak voltage of 1 V and a frequency of 200 kHz.
What minimum slew rate should the op-amp have to avoid distortion at the output?

12. An op-amp has a slew rate of 0.6 V/µs. What is the maximum frequency of a 5 V peak
sine wave that the op-amp can reproduce without distortion?

13. Design a circuit using op-amp that accepts 2 inputs. The output should be 1/4 times the
sum of both the inputs
