Society of Witchcraft: Ranking Guide

» Low Ranks «
The low ranks are the most common ranks of the Society, and they represent the
“Student body” of Celaria (since even Seniors can be trained) until they become an
Enchanter, when they finally reach the final step of their magical education. Below
you can find a list of all of the LRs and how to rank up in the system.

Pupil → Student
Pupils must enroll at the Registration Hall, where a Conjurer will receive their
enrollment papers, to accept them into Celaria. This will allow them to ascend in
rank to Students.

Student → Scholar
Students must attend a Basic Magic Theory class hosted by Theurgists and
Conjurers. They will receive a tour of the map and everything they need to know as
starters in the game. This will allow them to ascend further to the rank of Scholar.

Scholar → Proficient
Scholars must find a Senior Thaumaturge to participate in a private lesson, Rune
Identification, where they can learn the values of Runes. This will allow them to
ascend further to the rank of Proficient.

Proficient → Junior Thaumaturge

Proficients must attend an Introduction to Potion Crafting class, hosted by a
Theurgist, where they will learn how to create these liquids and their magical
properties. This will allow them to ascend in rank to Junior Thaumaturge.

Junior Thaumaturge → Senior Thaumaturge
Junior Thaumaturges must attend the Utilization of Dark Magic and Healing
Sorcery class, hosted by an Archmage. This course will cover both topics in one
lesson. This will allow them to achieve the rank of Senior Thaumaturge, and being
able to teach both Students and Scholars using the Society Lesson Guide .

Senior Thaumaturge → Enchanter

Senior Thaumaturges must seek an available staff member (Conjurers+) and ask
them to train them privately, after teaching an amount of 10 mentees (Scholars). If
passing this initiation, they would become the highest lower rank of our community
and eligible to apply for one of the four factions of the Society of Witchcraft.

CLASS DAILY/WEEKLY SCHEDULES

Below is where you may find the daily schedules of what classes are hosted
at what times.
SoW: Class Schedules

» Staff Ranks «
The staff ranks are the backbone of SoW, since they’re not only the ones that host
sessions and assist the LRs with their inquiries, but a part of them also moderate
both the game and the Discord Server. While some may think that they’re just
another rank in our Roblox group, being a staff member of any kind is a power that
comes with great responsibility. Below is a list of all of the staff ranks and a brief
description of each of them.

Please DM any of the editors if you notice any changes to be made.
⛧ Conjurers (MR)
Conjurers are the wider group of staff members in the entire team. While they’re the
lower-ranked members, their job is as vital for the Society as anyone else’s. They’re
in charge of enrolling Pupils, hosting Basic Magic Theory classes with Theurgists for
Students, answering the questions from starters both in-game and in-server, and
being of assistance in the Help Desk of the Library, where you may find them daily!

⛧ Theurgists (HR)
Theurgists are a more restricted group of staff members since they’re a High Rank,
however, their job does not change much from Conjurers. They’re in charge of
hosting Basic Magic Theory classes with Conjurers for Students, Introduction to
Potion Crafting classes for Proficients, answering inquiries, and being of assistance
to LRs and their peers. They go through a stage of preparation while they reunite
the qualities to move on to the next rank.

⛧ Archmages (HR)
Archmages are the moderators of the Society of Witchcraft. Their craft is basically
enforcing our regulations, and giving the punishment to those who break them
according to the offense, using their moderation permissions and knowledge that
they’ve obtained throughout their training as a Staff member. Their job is vital for
our system to work blissfully and for everyone to live in the most peaceful
environment possible. They’re also in charge of hosting Utilization of Dark Magic &
Healing Sorcery for Junior Thaumaturges.

How can I become a Staff Member?

If you’re interested in becoming a Staff Member, you should know that you have a
long but exciting path ahead of you. First, you start as a Conjurer, and to achieve
that rank you’ll have to get accepted through applications that come out almost
bimonthly, or by being handpicked for displaying excellent behavior as a LR
(which doesn’t happen that often). After getting accepted, you’ll have to work all
your way up, showing adequate abilities, great activity, and different traits to be
considered for promotions by your Overseers. The further you get, the more
difficult it will be for you to progress, being the Chancellors rank, the ultimate rank

you could aspire to.
While it is not the easiest road, it can be fulfilling and you can obtain thousands of
marvelous experiences, but you also need to remember that you’re here to serve
the community and its participants, and aspire to change it for the good.

⛧ Developers
The Development Team of SoW does not have any responsibility regarding
moderation or hosting classes, but they’re in charge of using their skills and abilities
to materialize every idea into Dawn of Sorcery and its map - alongside Arisonium.
They’re not capable of handling reports nor they’re responsible for handling LRs
concerns, so please don’t direct your inquiries to them!

⛧ Councilors (SHR)
Councilors are a team of administrators that are in charge of most of SoW’s
responsibilities, reuniting not only the qualities of the MR and HRs, but especially
being in charge of overseeing the Lower Ranks, the Staff Ranks, the non-Staff
Ranks, and the Faction Ranks. They have different sub-roles. They also can handle
bans and appeals, execute and create new ideas for the community, teach the staff
members everything they need to know, and they’re in charge of their demotions,
promotions, and even terminations. Every decision made by them is made as a
whole and not as individuals, and they work as a part of the team that we know as
The Council, alongside the Chancellors and the Supreme Chancellor.

⛧ Chancellors (SHR)
Chancellors have even a higher responsibility than Councilors, since they not only
reunite every administration and moderation capacity that they possess, but they
also oversee the Councilors' rank. They’re often two of the most experienced and
qualified Staff members in the whole community, and they’re chosen by the
Supreme Chancellor himself. They’re in charge of the Councilor’s promotions and
demotions.

⛧ Supreme Chancellor (SHR)
The Supreme Chancellor, Arisonium, is not only the owner of the Society of
Witchcraft, but he’s also the head of the Council and the Development Team. Since
he leads the Society, he has the final say in any decision made for Dawn of Sorcery,
but he is also supported by The Council and works with them to create new and
thrilling projects for the Society.

» Non-Staff Ranks «
The Non-Staff ranks are special sub-roles that you can obtain (Staff member or
not) by doing different kinds of jobs in the Society. Every rank has a different craft,
and they’re not related between them. Some of them are not a Roblox group rank,
but they're still achievable in the Discord server. Below is a list of all of these ranks:

⛧ Philosophers (MR)
Philosophers are the lore team of the Society of Witchcraft. They’re in charge of
creating the creative literature content behind our history, as well as any content for
the game. They can write documents and develop ideas that are later given to the
community. They have sub-roles (Beginner Philosopher, Senior Philosopher,
Deputy/Head) and they’re part of the Philosophy team. You can become a
Philosopher by applying when applications come out.

[DISBANDED] ⛧ Historians
Historians are an extension of the Philosophy Team, and they’re in charge of
capturing photos, editing photos that have already been taken, and creating
activities and pieces of art. They work collaboratively with Philosophers to create
content for the game. They have sub-roles and they’re part of the Philosophy team.
You can become a Historian by applying when applications come out.

⛧ Adventurer’s Guild (MR)
The Adventurer’s Guild is a group of people of any rank that dedicate their craft to
creating special and fun events for the community for everyone to partake in. They
develop different activities related to the entertainment aspect of the Society of
Witchcraft such as game nights, movie nights, and even the Master of Wizardry
Rivalry contest! You can become a member of the Adventurer’s Guild by applying
when applications come out.

⛧ Retired Staff/Retired SHR
These roles are given to people who have resigned from their staff positions at a
certain time, and who have met the requirements to have such roles. They’re very
respected members of our community for their contributions to building the
community we are today, but they do not have any power over anyone nor do they
have a different treatment than the Lower Ranks.
