1 Version Overview
Dassault Systèmes announces the release of DELMIA Apriso 2024. This version introduces
enhancements of business process management (BPM) tools for greater support of DevOps
practices, core infrastructure improvements, as well as new capabilities in the existing
functional modules.
Capabilities such as runtime configuration assignment to employees, a function to compare two
project revisions or the ability to merge differences between project revisions are going to
streamline the process of deployment and maintenance of manufacturing solutions.
The evolution of the core infrastructure and its architecture has been continued – the Job
Scheduler and Sequence Provider architecture has been updated to support high availability
configurations in complex and demanding manufacturing environments.
On the functional side, a number of enhancements introduced in the data model and business
logic will provide more flexibility in configuration leading to even greater coverage of
manufacturing scenarios, especially in the area of data access control, but also shop floor issue
management.
MPI remains the main manufacturing analytics solution for the plant and as such, it has been
enhanced with additional measures and dimensions. For the enterprise level analytics, the new
release brings the capability to extract the manufacturing data into a file for further indexing and
processing within 3DEXPERIENCE platform Data Science Experiences.
This document also describes the enhancements originally delivered in DELMIA Apriso 2023
Service Pack 1. These enhancements are mainly related to the work plan, recipe and resource
data continuity between 3DEXPERIENCE platform and DELMIA Apriso, and were introduced in
the data model layer, as well as the business integration layer.

When upgrading from earlier versions, refer to previous Release Notes for key new
functionalities, enhancements, discontinued features, and known issues.
Release Notes for all supported versions are available at 3DS Support.

Apriso 2023.

3.2.2 Process Authoring in Process Builder

The functionalities related to process authoring were deprecated in Process Builder in DELMIA
Apriso 2023 and will not be further developed. However, processes are still supported and will
be maintained in future versions.

3.3 Security Enhancements

DELMIA Apriso is continuously working on improving the product security. The changes might
affect some of the functionalities, for example those that require specific access rights or use
external resources.

3.4 UI Style Improvements

Dassault Systèmes is continuously working on the user interface capabilities and is improving
the default style delivered with the product. We are aware that changes may affect the look and
feel of the processes, operations, and screens that were built in former versions. However, we
need to perform these changes with the development of the product.
The current release contains style updates related to both new functionalities and fixes. We
also add new CSS classes whenever we find it valuable. You can find descriptions of classes
available in the standard product and their usage examples in CSS Framework
Documentation.
After upgrading to DELMIA Apriso 2024, the updated style becomes the default. However,
because of the reasons mentioned above, Dassault Systèmes recommends that you manually
Release Notes | DELMIA Apriso 2024 9

back up the style formerly used until the processes, operations, and screens are tested and
functional.

3.5 Known Issues

At Dassault Systèmes, we actively work to deliver the highest quality product. Nevertheless, it
is impossible to isolate or fix every issue present in the product, because these often come from
issues with third-party software that is a prerequisite for using DELMIA Apriso.

DELMIA Apriso in the Turkish language requires a workaround due to a third-

party issue (76476)
Symptoms
When the interface language (and culture) is set to Turkish, DELMIA Apriso is unable to
properly load data from the database. This results in the incomplete loading of pages as well as
errors that arise when data critical for screen loading is inaccessible.

Problem Description
The problem is caused by a bug in the third-party framework used by DELMIA Apriso (Microsoft
.NET Framework) and cannot be resolved. Due to incorrect conversion of the Turkish letter "i"
(I,i) by some methods (e.g., "ToLower()"), resolution is impossible. In many cases these are the
methods used to retrieve data from the database. Such methods are used by the (third-party)
Microsoft .NET Framework and cannot be resolved.
Workaround
DELMIA Apriso can still be translated into the Turkish language using a different (unused)
locale to store the literals, but only if the localization settings (e.g., the date/time format) for this
locale are acceptable.
