Course Outcome

1. Understand the concepts of database management systems, data abstractions.


2. Design the databases using E-R method and network model of database.
3. Write relational algebra expressions for that query and optimize the developed
expressions.

a) Explain the concept of data abstraction in database management system?


b) What is data independence explain it with example?
c) Explain the Data Definition Language(DDL)?
d) Write down the ACID property of DBMS?
e) Write down the Data Manipulation Language commands?

a) Explain the Entity- Relationship model with suitable diagram and example?
b) Explain Three tier(Level) schema architecture with suitable architecture?
c) What is relational and object oriented data models differentiate it?

a) Differentiate the two tier, two tier schema and three tier schema architecture?
b) What is relational algebra Explain it with its different operators and functions?
c) Explain Tuple relational calculus and domain relational calculus with suitable
relation?
