You are on page 1/ 1

What makes you unique?

You are unique. There is only one of you. You have a quick, sarcastic wit. You geek out about
some of the weirdest stuff. You have massive hands and feet. You are introspective, but social.

How do I see you?

I see you as my oldest child, my first. I see you as a young man full of potential. I see a geek. I
see an honest and kind person. I see an avid reader and gamer.

Hopefully this is sufficient. If you need more let me know.

Love you,
Mom
I find that I listen all the time whether it be in class, hanging with friends, or at work. I am
probably one of the better listeners I know. It was common for my elementary school friends to
ask me later in are school career about what they should do in situations. As my mother says I
have a quick and sarcastic wit which helps me listen and evaluate what I’m hearing. I am a social
person, but I love my alone time. I know when it comes to my friends that I sometime have
troubles listening and making good choices.
Listening is one of those skills that you need to learn and use as child so when you get older you
have the capabilities to do large scale analysis of what people are saying. Among things I do that
require listening is Dungeons and Dragons. There has to be communication between the players
and the dungeon master to have a game let alone communicating what you want to do in combat
or what your character is looking to buy. Should communication breakdown while playing
feeling can be hurt and even friendships ended over the simplest miss communication. However,
should the party communicate superbly they can accomplish great things and even surprise the
dungeon master. Listening is also important while playing video games with your friends as you
need to listen for call outs and then act upon those call outs to outmaneuver and out play the
enemy. Should miscommunication happen the team is more likely to fail and get destroyed by
the opposing team. If the video game isn’t competitive there still has to be listening to your
friends to see how they are doing or if they need help with the current game being played.
Listen is super important in school as it determines how well you retain information from the
class thus is the main influences of whether you pass the class or not. This however isn’t they
only thing as some people including me have trouble with classes but are still good listeners.
When this happens, they need to go find help with translating the info into a more effective way
of learning it.
In review I am a decent listener who uses listening for fun activities and school. I have problems
listening occasionally to my friends and family but usually after taking time to think and
ruminate on what happened and what was said I usually communicate better. Listening in
general is a very important skill in life as you learn it at a young age and you develop it over the
years even into ones adulthood.
