development. By evaluating a minimum of five websites, ranging from well-designed to poorly
designed—students were able to identify critical design elements such as layout structure,
navigation flow, color schemes, responsiveness, and overall user experience. The analysis
provided valuable insights into common design pitfalls and best practices, reinforcing the
importance of user-centric and aesthetically sound design. This exercise highlighted that
evaluating existing websites is a vital preparatory step in the web development process. The
knowledge gained will guide students in creating effective, functional, and user-friendly
websites in future projects.
