Class: Seven Annual

01. A dialogue between two friends about load shedding.


Myself : Hello, Robin, how do you do?
Robin : I’m fine. And you?
Myself : I’m so so. It seems to me that you are little bit anxious about anything.
Robin : Yes. I’m really anxious about frequent load-shedding because yesterday there was no electricity.
Myself : You are right. Yesterday I had to face the same problem.
Robin : Now-a-days load-shedding has been a common phenomenon all over the country.
Myself : What do you think about the reason of load-shedding?
Robin : There are many reasons of load-shedding. Less production of electricity is the main reason. Besides,
illegal connection is also responsible.
Myself : I think misuse is another cause. The bad effect of load-shedding can’t be described in words. Students
can’t study, official activities, productions of mills and factories are hampered.
Robin : Proper steps should be taken immediately as the problem has been out of control.
Myself : How can this problem be solved?
Robin : Mainly production of electricity must be increased.
Myself : You’re right. Besides, we should be conscious of using electricity.
Robin : Thanks a lot for your excellent discussion.
Myself : Same to you. More when we meet again.

02. A dialogue between two friends about the importance of using dictionary.
Sumon : Hey Kabir! How are you?
Kabir : Im alright, what about you?
Sumon : I'm fine as well, have you prepared for the Spelling Bee competition that is about to come?
Kabir : Yes, I have! I learnt for it with the help of my Dictionary.
Sumon : Me too, It’s of great use, I can also learn the meanings of word along with the spellings, its knowledge
just not for the competition but also for my future use!
Kabir : Absolutely! It is important as well, it helps us with new words, synonyms, acronyms and the way we
should apply words, the dictionary proves itself to be important.
Sumon : I know right! It’s so useful, we get multiple benefits by just reading it, it’s a lot of information, it just
doesn’t help us with writing, but also with communication.
Kabir : Even a lot of schools, including ours, provide us with dictionaries from First grade, to enrich our
Knowledge and vocabulary.
Sumon : Yes, they do, we even use it as a great source of reference whenever we need information to anything
regarding words, their meaning and pronunciation.
Kabir : I have a great idea! Let’s go to my home, we'll get my dictionary and start preparing together for the
competition, we will not need to worry about it when the exams start, right?
Sumon : Of course, my mom told me to be at home by 4:00, as soon as I finish tea, I will be at your home by 5:00
to learn.
Kabir : Sounds like a plan, great idea. See you by 5:00 then

03. A dialogue between two friends about climate change.


Kabir : Hello Zarif, How are you?
Zarif : I am fine. What about you?
Kabir : I am fine too. Have you noticed that this is the month of November but still there is no cold?
Zarif : Yes, we are still keeping our fans on. But what is the cause of such a capricious behavior of weather?
Kabir : It is only climate change for which we are noticing capricious behavior of weather.
Zarif : You are right. But is it happening only in Bangladesh?
Kabir : No, I have seen in the newspapers that many countries are experiencing severe cold.

Zarif : But there are many countries which are experiencing severe heat too.
Kabir : Yes, all these are happening due to climate change.
Zarif : You are right. I have also read in the newspapers that due to climate change global warming is taking
place in the atmosphere.
Kabir : Exactly! Due to global warming the ice caps are melting and the sea levels are rising.
Zarif : As a result, various natural calamities are taking place frequently in different parts of the world.
Kabir : You are right. And it is only men who are mainly responsible for all disasters around the world.
Zarif : I also think so. Indiscriminate cutting down of trees and establishing industries on a large scale are
accelerating this climate change.
Kabir : Exactly! Mankind must be serious from now. Otherwise, we will have to face a very threatening situation.
Thank you very much.
Zarif : You are most welcome. Bye and see you again.

04. Dialogue between two doctor and patient.


Patient : Good evening doctor. Will you spend some time for me?
Doctor : Of course. What's your problem?
Patient : My examination is very near at hand. I cannot work hard because I've been suffering from difficult
problem.
Doctor : What're they?
Patient : I have been suffering from indigestion and weakness.
Doctor : Do you keep late hours at night and do you have any tension?
Patient : Yes. I study more at night. I'm also anxious of my examination.
Doctor : Please lie down on the bed. I'll check you all through.
Patient : Check me well, sir, I'm really frustrated.
Doctor : Don't worry. You're quite o.k. Take rest for seven days. Don't keep late hours at night and take regular
exercise. You'll be o.k. Moreover, take medicine as per written in the prescription.
Patient : Thank you very much.
Doctor : You're most welcome.

05. A dialogue between two friends about their preparation for the coming exam.
Sujon : Hello Rakib, how are you?
Rakib : I am fine, and what about you?
Sujon : I am not so good. I am afraid of the ensuing examination.
Rakib : It is very common. You are serious about it, so you are afraid.
Sujon : Don't philosophize, please. I am really afraid as I have no good preparation for English. In a short time, it
is very difficult for me to make a success in English.
Rakib : I think your English learning method is not so good. You should learn some basic rules of English if you
want to do well in English.
Sujon : You are right. Besides, I should improve my writing skill to do well in English.
Rakib : Do not worry. I am sure you will be able to cover up if you read English regularly.
Sujon : Thank you for your encouragement. To speak the truth, I am afraid as I couldn't secure more than 50%
marks in English in the last examination.
Rakib : No matter. You have sharp memory. I hope you would be able to make up for the loss.
Sujon : Now tell me about your preparation.
Rakib : I paid equal attention to all the subjects. So, I am not worried about any particular subject. Now I am
revising all the subjects.
Sujon : Very well. You are always studious and laborious. You did not waste your time. You have also made a
good preparation.
Rakib : Do not mention it. But it is true that I read regularly and emphasize on all subjects equally.
Sujon : Excellent! Hope you will do better in the examination. Thank you.
Rakib : You are most welcome. Hope you will also do better
