Mini Project Bi

The document outlines a BI mini project focused on data mining tasks to prepare BI reports, including problem definitions and required datasets. It presents five specific problems related to stock price prediction using neural networks, clustering for T-shirt sizes, customer segmentation for targeted marketing, association rule mining for transaction data, and designing data warehouses for sales and sustainability analysis. The project requires the use of tools like PowerBI, RapidMiner, Orange, or Weka, along with screenshots of all steps involved.

BI Mini Project : Data Mining tasks to prepare BI Reports based on following key points

Problem definition, identifying which data mining task is needed, dataset information, steps

Complete it in PowerBI/RapidMiner/Orange/ Weka

Attach screenshots for all steps

Problem definitions (Perform any 1)

1. Examine the steps in developing a neural network for predicting stock prices. What kind of
objective function and what kind of data would be required for a good stock price predictor
system using ANN?
2. . Data about height and weight for a few volunteers is available. Create a set of clusters for the
following data, to decide how many sizes of Tshirts should be ordered.

3. Liberty wants to find suitable number of segments for its customers, for targeted marketing.
Here is a list of representative customers.
a. What is the right number of customer segments for Liberty?
b. What are their centroids?
4. Here is a list of transactions from Liberty’s stores. Create association rules for the following data,
with 30 percent support level and 60 percent confidence level.

5. The Liberty Stores company wants to be fully informed about its sales of products and take
advantage of growth opportunities as they arise. It wants to analyze sales of all its products by
all store locations. The newly hired chief knowledge officer has decided to build a data
warehouse. 1. Design a DW structure for the company to monitor its sales performance. (Hint:
Design the central table and lookup tables.) 2. Design another DW for the company’s
sustainability and charitable activities
