Logical Questions (6 Marks)

subnets. State the subnet mask used and subnet addresses.
2. Design a network with 15 host divided into 3 equal size subnetwork each with
different network topology (i.e. Bus, Star, Ring). Connect these subnetwork with
suitable network device. Specify IP address to each subnetwork with its
broadcast and network address.
3. Design suitable network layout for an organisation with six department (5 user
each), shared printer server and network server. List all components in layout.
4. Give class and subnet address of following IP address : (i) 221.45.15.68 (ii)
128.1.1.30 (iii) 10.145.14.68 (iv) 191.168.0.1
5. Explain the working of parent-child topology with neat labelled diagram of
topology considering central hub with nodes & hub connected to it. Also state it’s
applications.
6. A small educational organization situated within a single building want to create
a network to share the information of its 5 departments among them, for this
network no centralized management is required, also no security is required.
Which network is suitable for such organization ? Justify.
7. Draw a neat labelled sketch of hybrid topology connecting one star network of 4
computers, one ring network of 5 computers and one bus network of 5
computers.
8. Design a Class ‘C’ Network with network address 192.156.5.0 with 2 subnets.

9. Suggest suitable network layout for an organization’s office in a building of 5
floors. Each floor needs 20 machines and 2 printers. Identify appropriate

10. For a trading firm organization with 50 users, draw network architecture design
of wireless LAN. State devices used and its specifications.
