Course Description
This is one of the foundation courses offered by the university, which fulfills the requirement
of foundation in “Numeracy”. This course is mandatory for the students who wish to major in
computer science and engineering. Preliminary theories of calculus will be reviewed with
analytical geometry.

Course Policy:
1. The syllabus of tests, midterm and final exam is already given here, however,
announcements will be given ahead of time. Make up test might be considered in case of
unavoidable circumstances.
2. Class participation is vital for better understanding of sociological issues. Students are
invited to raise questions.
3. Students should take tutorials with the instructor during the office hours.
4. Students must maintain the IUB code of conduct and ethical guidelines offered by the
university.

Students will be assessed on the basis of their overall performance in all the exams. Final numeric
