WHO WE ARE
We are a group of Professionals and Academicians who believe that with passage of time our educational system has got heavily slanted towards scoring marks to somehow pass the examination. While it encourages a few to come up in life, the potential of a vast majority of intelligent minds is suppressed. Spotting the potential young minds and building capabilities worthy of a winner in life, thus became the raison d'etre for our launching an ever growing ensemble of excellence - Faculty, Trainers & Students, operating in a well tuned 24 x 7 fully residential environment. With focus on individual grooming, appropriate stress has been laid on learning processes that are found in our heritage in Swami Vivekanandas thoughts but somewhere lost in the past in our countrys education system particularly in higher education.
Pankaj Saran Earlier in mid-1994, urged by CSKM Public School Chairman Lt. Col. Satsangi, VSM and Conceptualizer, EMPI Chairman Emeritus ITC Ltd., Ajit. N Haksar, wanting to fill a need for establishing an entrepreneurial, professional management education center at the CSKM Educational Complex, young Psychologist & Management Consultant Pankaj conceptualized a blueprint to set up an institution that will nurture giftedness in individuals to achieve excellence. The concept gained momentum when former Director BHEL, Sr. Management Consultant Commonwealth (UK) & President IEEMA Mr. Gurnam Saran, then associated as MD in an American Consulting Group decided to return and stepped in as EMPI's founder President.
Huge response of admission seekers, majority of them drawn from highly intellectual family environments (Engineers, Doctors, Civil and Armed Services, Business Executives, Entrepreneurs and the like) to our Programme, indeed confirmed our hypotheses about the need for launching a different type of institution. Result... our spirited EMPIans - Lady & Gentleman Young Managers (LYMs/GYMs) as we call them. With late Mr. Ajit N. Haksar at the helm who remained EMPIs Patron Chairman for more than a decade, we have been building Centers of Excellence led by successful Indians including Ms. Tara Sinha (the doyen of Indian Advertising), late Dr. Udai Pareek (father of Human Resources Education), Mr. P. S. Bami, former Chairman NTPC who became the Chairman of EMPI's Expert Advisory Council and late Dr. S. P. Verma (Director IIPA), the founder Dean & Director. The baton of providing guidance to EMPI Institutions in 2005 was passed on to Dr. D. V. Kapur (Founder Chairman, NTPC). Currently Mr. N. Vittal, IAS Retd. (Enabler of India's IT revolution) is our Patron Chairman. Others joining the EMPI expert / governance groups include former Chief Justice of India Honble Ranganath Misra, Mr. S. Regunathan, IAS Retd. (former Chief Secretary, Delhi & currently Advisor National Knowledge Commission), late Mr L. M. Singhvi (former Indian High Commissioner in UK), Dr. A. N. Saksena, Former Additional Secretary, Govt. of India and Dr. Usha Dar, Director Research, World Environment Foundation.
Our Commitment
We are committed to identify, nurture and enrich giftedness in individuals through continuous innovative pedagogy and distinctly different Gurukul like learning environment to bring out creative, entrepreneurial and managerial capabilities keeping in sharp focus the need to promote meritorious, innovative, enterprising and intellectual potential of our youth and collectively showcasing Indian achievements.
EMPI the name Entrepreneurship and Management Processes International - signifies the changing emphasis in international management thought to purposes and processes, as also the fading distinction between entrepreneurship and management, with the need today for an entrepreneurial manager. The logo depicts this educational philosophy wherein the red spark and dot symbolises the raw energy of bright youth while the arrow symbolises the channelling of energy for constructive personal and social growth.

The perfect adjective to define my experience of studying at EMPI would be Enriching. And the experience continues till date, even years after graduating as a student. Im regularly back on campus every weekend to learn from those sitting on the same benches where once I sat.
My course at EMPI was one of the best courses in HR - subject like Instruments of HRD & OD, was really very helpful for me.
EMPI was not only an educating and enriching experience but also worked as a launch pad to the advertising industry for me. And I continue my association with the institute by being a guest lecturer. I also benefit by way of fresh ideas and thought processes that the students bring in.
EMPI gave me the chance to interact and learn from the most eminent personalities in HR field.
"I consider myself fortunate to be a part of Research & Business Analytics Programme of EMPI's Vittal Centre for Management and Governance Informatics (VC-MaGtics). I have been the proud beneficiary of getting Guidance and Opportunity from the Industry Consortium of RBA Programme."
EMPI offers a unique opportunity for students to evolve their understanding of business concepts and skills with top faculty and business leaders. We dont call EMPI a college but we call it The Modern Gurukul.
I am proud to be a part of EMPI which has been an excellent learning ground for me. Getting placed six months before completion of the course with a good salary package has indeed put me on cloud nine. I owe a lot to EMPI.
10
Group Discussion in progress to facilitate a variety of interactions with industry and business enterprises round the year, to make them aware of the unique features of the EMPI programmes. We have an excellent record in placing our students for summer and final placements in various organizations with a 100% placement record.
Corporate Connects
Eminent practicing senior managers from the corporate world are invited to the campus to speak on various management issues and concurrent practices in their organization as well as share their experiences and how the young managers can move ahead.

Adventure Trips
The Adventure Trip that we had is one of the most exciting trips of the lifetime that I think none of us can ever forget. The trip not only helped us in increasing the courage with the activities like boat rafting through breath-taking rapids and rappelling but also helped us in improving our Team Building qualities.

GROOMING TO WIN
Focus: Individual Development
Building of long hours work rhythm - unique experiential learning achieved by EMPIans is the outcome of continuing participation by students in a whole package of academic events such as Debates, Quizzes, Elocution, Business Games, Case Studies, Management Simulation, Organizing of Events, Campaigns and Sports & Games. Participation in such events is not only exciting but highly motivating for the students to showcase their talents and come out as winners. In addition, these events are also excellent occasions for enhancing faculty-student and inter-group interaction which has a great developmental value. Theater and other art related functions are yet another way of bringing the best of hidden creativity in the individuals.
Executive Fitness
EMPIs Executive Fitness is a unique programme which commences with the day break. It helps students to internalise leading a disciplined work life through daily participation in choice of activities like yoga, aerobics, taekwondo, multi-gym or other games. This strengthens the students both physically and mentally, which is the key to success in todays stressful world.

Udai Pareek HR-Labs of EMPI Business School, New Delhi to provide Consultancy to UNDP on Pedagogy for Human Development Modules
HR Labs of EMPI B-School provided consultancy to UNDP for their modules on human development in the area of pedagogy, i.e. methodology of teaching these modules. The content given by UNDP was used for these modules. The basic philosophy of the pedagogy suggests to help the learners experience the main spirit of the modules, critically examine their own orientation, and see the need of getting involved in the pursuit of advancing human development in their societies. HR-Labs examined the modules in details, and suggested various pedagogical devices to be used in different places. Various interventions were suggested to generate experiences while teaching the modules. Some of the modalities suggested were instruments for the readers to collect self-generated data; interview to collect some first hand data; exercises simulating some social processes like conflicts, collaborations, living styles etc; role plays; cases; critical incident and analytical exercises.

Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam (Speaking on EMPI Indian Innovation Awards Ceremony 2007)
NATIONAL INITIATIVES
We Think for India (WTI)
For imbibing a sense of social responsibility in our teaching - learning culture, EMPI supported an initiative to launch a society: We Think for India (WTI). It is a unique EMPI initiative that brings together some of India's most distinguished personalities like former Chief Justice of India Ranganath Misra, Dr. R. A. Mashekar, Dr. Abid Hussain and Mr. L. V. Saptarishi amongst others to try and create first time in India a Participative Public Policy Forum, that synergizes Academia, Corporates and Government on a common platform to create policy alternatives for the government, as also educate intelligentsia in policy formulation. WTI undertook its first major initiative in 2002 of conducting a National Mr. R. Rajkumar of IIT Delhi receiving the Award Manufacturing Sector Policy competition along with FICCI and Business World. The competition was an overwhelming success with 166 teams from across the country participating including the IITs, IIMs, TATAs, KPMG Consulting. The culmination of the competition was at the Prime Minister's residence on May 24, 2003 where the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee gave away the awards to the top teams and also released the book to Shri. Arun Jaitley, Minister of Law, Commerce and Industry, Government of India. More than 500 copies of the draft policy documents got sold in India and abroad including a large number circulated amongst various Ministries and Officials of Government of India. It indeed served as an excellent input to the policy makers leading to formation of the National Manufacturing Competitiveness Council. WTI was the first kind of its effort in the country wherein students and faculty actually came together to contribute to policy making.
