Subject: Material Submittal for Ceramic and Porcelain Tiles PK-3 & PK-5
Reference to Tiles presentation held at Murooj Site Office date 20.05.2022 in presence of M/s
Nakheel, ABT, LAC and ASGC representative, please refer to attached Tile’s approval schedule
and pictorial form for the inspected tiles.
General Comments:
1- Revised Data sheet to be submitted for approved tiles.
2- Tile for skirt, staircase tread and riser samples to be submitted considering full body
porcelain, round edge shall be same color of the tile color and finish.
3- External tiles for Villa/Townhouse’s main Entrance to be revised – large size tiles
perforable.
4- Consider incline Tile Skirt for internal staircase.
5- Threshold is not part of the submission, however Contractor to study proposal to replace
the marble threshold with full size tile matching with adjacent floor tiles.
6- Provide full box for marble effect tiles for review and final approval.
7- Provide additional two true size control samples for each approved/signed tile.
8- Quantity is the Contractor’s responsibly, spare quantity to be considered as per the Contract.
9- Tile’s grout, adhesive, and accessories to be submitted separately.
10- Proper tile segregation at site to be done for each delivery, defected tiles (different shade,
tone , size, texture …etc) to be eliminated prior to material onsite inspection.
11- Detailed shop drawings and MOS to be submitted reflecting the approved tile size,
location, and termination details.
12- Draft Warranty to be revised : 5 years from TOC.
