DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING FACULTY
Project work may be assigned to a group of students not exceeding 4 per group, under the supervision of the
project supervisor(s). Each student batch shall be required to undertake a suitable project in an
industry/research organization/department in consultation with the Head of the Department and the supervisor.
A student shall register for Project Phase I and II in 7th and 8th semester respectively. The project team and
the project title can be decided in the 6th semester itself.
• Students execute their in-house project in the Department with proper approval from the HoD through
the respective supervisor.
• Students should maintain a record on the progress and get the approval from supervisor at least once
in a week. If the progress is not found satisfactory due to any reason, the supervisor should
take the corrective action, after consulting with project coordinator and HoD.
ASSESSMENT PROCEDURES FOR PROJECTS

Ability to understand the concepts in Electronics and Communication Engineering and to apply to
different fields, such as Consumer Electronics, Communications, Signal Processing, etc.
Ability to design a system based on the technical knowledge gained for embedded applications in electronics
and communications engineering.
Ability to select cutting-edge engineering hardware and software tools to solve complex problems in
Electronics and Communication Engineering.
If students in the program are able to demonstrate a strong understanding of embedded systems
design and implementation, are able to use appropriate tools and technologies, and are able to secure
positions in the embedded systems industry, it suggests that the program objectives are being met.
Student placement in a company like Microchip may indicate that the program is well-respected by
industry partners, but it is only one factor in a broader evaluation of the program.
