A Visa Interview
(A Typical/General Interview)
Answer – sir/maam…Apart from being a well renowned university, the main reason behind
finalizing this university is its course and curriculum which matched my areas of interest such
as courses in database management and advance data mining. Apart from excellent academic
exposure.I see a very vibrant international academic community and I am looking forward to
contribute to that as I was very active in my college as well.
G
course structure and I found that I will get maximum area of exposure in my areas of interest
at NEU. For example at Indiana Bloomington…they major focus on networks and systems
which was my secondary area of interest and at Uni of Houston core and electives in data
The
(Tip - If any scholarship has been given….say…It has also given me scholarships….)
Q.4 Why MS
Sir/Maam..I have decided to make a career in technical field and for that I strongly believe that
graduate studies are must. Hence in order to gain advance knowledge in my area of interest, I
am going to do a masters.
Sir/Maam..I wanted to pursue graduate studies in the area which is techno managerial and
Information systems is such an avenue and I am excited to see the bright prospects in India for
this field. Business intelligence or Business Analysis specialist are in great demand in India
and I am looking forward for these fields. Hence Information systems.
I have always thought that I will pursue higher studies from abroad and USA came out to be an
obvious choice due to several reasons…..such as high quality and practical academics…its
global recognition….availabiliy of courses in my areas of interest…opportunity to do research
during MS….these are some of the major factors which were not in India and at many other
countries…Hence I think US is the best place to study.
I think US education systems and the way it imparts knowledge is much better that what India
does. And US campuses are Global in nature where you have an immensely learning corss
cultural environment. I think as a person as well as a professional, I will develop myself better
in USA than in any other country.
-73-
Q.8 Who will sponsor you and how they will manage your funds –
My father is going to sponsor me and with an annual income of 10 lacs my father has overall
assets of ….cros which includes movable as well as immovable assets ..this should be more
than enough to support my expenses at NEU
I am looking forward to come back to India and grab growing opportunities in my fields of
interest.
Professionally and personally ..I feel coming back to India is something that I will choose to.
Personally I would be closer to my family and Professionally India offers excellent and world
class opportunities…Hence my main intention of going to US is to study only….
Q.11 How did you heard about this university or to the unis you have applied
While I was finalizing my unis..I took help of multiple resources..mainly being my friends who
are currently studying in USA…I also saw various ranking websites such as US NEWS and
forums…I also talked to my faculties
bal i zer s
o
