2 PURPOSE OF TUTORIAL LETTER

The purpose of this tutorial letter is to offer guidelines for the examination. Please study this

that the answers provided on MyUnisa (Moodle) are intended to serve as guidelines that

3 GENERAL COMMENTS

In the AIS1601 Tutorial Letter 101, you were referred to the INKALLE/302/4/2025

tutorial letter where you would have found some guidelines on essay writing. Many students did
not follow instructions by not engaging the content of this module. As a result, that remains the
most common mistakes observed in all the assessments.

Lack of engagement
We expect the level of engagement to be higher in this module. This high level of engagement
was missing from most assessments received. Most students only attempted the assessments

without any lessons consulted. The online lessons provide you with content that should help you
to understand the entire module. It is, therefore, upon you to engage the content in a manner
that fits in the context of the assessment questions. So, you need to contextualise the content of
this module and other sources that may benefit towards your knowledge.

Moreover, apart from paraphrasing the contents from online lessons and other sources, it is
important to demonstrate in your answer that you have engaged with the module content, and
you understand the concepts and/or views. Answering all the assignments require extensive
reading and insight. I expected you to explore the content of the module.

4 ASSESSMENTS
All the assignments for semester 1 were made available on myUnisa (Moodle) and you were
required to submit your answers online, via myUnisa (Moodle) assessment platform. In addition,
