Software Development Course outline

Objective:

The goal of the software development program is to train


professionals with broad technical skills.

Technologically competent to meet the needs of businesses in


terms of IT support and problem solving, as well as interpersonal
skills, enabling them to coordinate teamwork and advance within a
company or on their own.

The Technician Specializing in IT Development program is also


open to international opportunities thanks to a partnership
agreement with CGEP Saint-Félicien, allowing technicians to obtain
a dual degree to facilitate their access to employment in Canada or
Europe.

Skills development:
 Proficiency in programming languages
 Database management
 Technical assistance
 Management of IT development projects
 Mastery of IT tools and methodologies through practical
experience in class and internships
 Coordination and teamwork
 Ability to resolve business issues related to IT systems
 Design, development, and administration of websites and mobile
applications

Course duration:
2 years

1st year – 1st semester

 The company and its environment


 Notions of mathematics applied to computer science
 Word processor, PowerPoint presentation and Excel
Spreadsheet
 Structured programming techniques
 Computer station installation and configuration

1st year – 2nd semester

 Production of Access documents, the essentials on the web and


communication, online collaboration
 Event programming (visual.net)
 Structured programming language (C++ language)
 Hypermedia applications
2nd year – 3rd semester

 Database Management System I (SQL Server)


 OOP analysis and design
 Introduction to computer networks

2nd year – 4th semester
