Guidelines for CodeClash
Before the Contest :
1. Familiarize yourself with the contest platform and test out the submission system, if possible. 2. Ensure you have a working coding environment set up (e.g., IDEs, compilers) on your device, if required. 3. All participants must arrive at the venue 30 minutes before the contest start time for mandatory registration and verification. 4. Late arrivals may not be allowed to participate, so please be punctual.
During the Contest :
1. This is a individual competition – no collaboration, discussion, or code sharing is allowed. 2. Plagiarism or cheating of any kind will lead to immediate disqualification. 3. Use of external forums, code-sharing platforms, or AI tools is prohibited. 4. Multiple accounts or suspicious activity will be investigated and may lead to removal from the contest. 5. Pay close attention to input/output formats, constraints, and sample cases.
Scoring and Ranking Rules :
1. Rankings are based on the number of problems correctly solved. 2. In the event of a tie, the participant with the lowest total penalty time will be ranked higher. 3. Penalties are applied on every question and are only added when a WA occurs on the test case. 4. A 20-minute penalty will be added for each Wrong Answer (WA) on Test Case 1 of any question. 5. There is no penalty for compilation errors or skipped test cases.
After the Contest :
1. Official standings will be released only after plagiarism checks are completed. 2. Preliminary scores may be visible, but are subject to change based on the results of the integrity review.
