Overall, Europe has the highest potato consumption, while Asia and Oceania have
the largest potato production. In contrast, South and Central America and Africa
have the lowest potato consumption and production.
Regarding potato consumption, Europe is the largest consumer with 96.1 kg per
person. Africa has the lowest consumption, at only 14.1 kg per person. North
America ranks second, with a consumption of 57.9 kg per person. South and
Central America, along with Asia/Oceania, have nearly similar consumption levels,
at 23.6 kg and 25.8 kg per person, respectively.
Regarding potato production, Asia and Oceania produce the most potatoes with
131.2 million tons. Europe ranks second, just behind Asia and Oceania, with 126.3
million tons. Meanwhile, North America, Africa, and South and Central America
record much lower figures, at 24.7, 16.4, and 15.6 million tons, respectively.
In summary, although Europe had the highest per capita potato consumption,
Asia/Oceania was the largest potato-producing region in 2006.
The diagram illustrates the process of making soft cheese, starting from raw
ingredients and ending with the final cooled product.
Overall, making soft cheese has five main steps. It starts with mixing milk and
water, and ends with cooling the final product. The process includes cooling,
fermenting, evaporating, and filtering, with different temperatures and times for
each step.
In the first stage, milk is mixed with water. In the second step, the mixture is
cooled. It's kept in a cooling device at 5°C for 2 hours. Next, salt is added and the
mixture ferments at 37°C for 6 hours.
After full fermentation, the mixture is heated to 100°C for 8 hours to evaporate
water. It then becomes a thick liquid and is cooled again at 5°C for 6 hours. In the
final stage, waste water and soft cheese are separated using a special filter.
The table illustrates the percentage breakdown of students pursuing education at a
specific Australian university in 2009. It presents data for six different
schools/faculties, categorized by gender, first language, and place of birth.
Overall, subjects like English, Modern Languages, and History had a higher
proportion of female students compared to other fields. Notably, only 16% of
students reported a first language other than English. This pattern also held true for
students born overseas, with the exception of Modern Languages.
For female student enrollment, English, Modern Languages, and History accounted
for the highest proportions at 67%, 63%, and 58% respectively. In contrast, the
other three subjects had lower percentages, ranging from 29% to 42%.
Regarding students' place of birth, Modern Languages has the highest proportion
of students born outside Australia, accounting for 54% of participants. For faculties
such as Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics, there is only a slight variation,
ranging from 43% to 47%. History has the lowest percentage of students, at just
18%.
The chart illustrates the proportion of people in the UK who consumed fruits and
vegetables daily between 2001 and 2008.
Overall, the proportion of women consuming fruits and vegetables daily was
higher than that of men and children. All three groups showed a steady increase
until 2006, followed by a slight decline in the final two years.
Overall, the USA saw big changes in the number of immigrants, reaching its peak
in 1991 and then dropping sharply. The number of immigrants to Australia stayed
low and steady throughout the period but increased sharply near the end. In
Canada, the number of immigrants stayed steady throughout the whole period.
In 1991, the number of immigrants to the USA was over 1,400 thousand. However,
this number increased sharply to 1,800 thousand in 1992 and then continued to
drop to 800 thousand by 1996. The number rose again to over 800 thousand in
1997 and gradually decreased to just over 600 thousand by 2000. The number of
immigrants increased to over 800 thousand by the end of the period.
The immigration trend to Canada was more stable, with the number fluctuating
between 200,000 and 400,000 people throughout the period from 1991 to 2001.
Although there was a slight increase towards the end of the period, the number of
immigrants to Canada remained lower than that of the USA.
On the other hand, Australia had the lowest number of immigrants and also saw the
most steady growth compared to the other three countries. In 1990, the number of
immigrants started at under 200,000, with a slight decrease in 1994, but generally
remained stable until the end of 2001.
The graphs illustrate the percentage of students enrolled in various courses at an
adult education center in 1985 and this year.
Overall, the number of students in each course has changed a lot between 1985 and
this year. Fitness and dance is still the most popular course, while interest in
modern languages has gone down. Music appreciation and local history are no
longer offered, and IT has become the most popular course.
In 1985, the most popular course was modern languages, with 24% of students
learning French, German, or Spanish. Fitness and dance was also very popular,
with 22% of students enrolled. Cookery, local history, and art accounted for 14%,
15%, and 17% of the total students, respectively. Music appreciation had the
lowest enrollment, with only 8% of students taking the course.
This year, the trend changed. The percentage of students taking modern languages
dropped to 17%, while IT replaced music appreciation and local history to become
the most popular course, with 27% of students. Fitness and dance maintained its
popularity, with 22% of students, while cookery accounted for 19%. Art saw a
slight decrease from 17% to 15%.
The maps illustrate the changes in the layout of the town center from 1990 to the
present.
Overall, the town center has undergone significant changes, with the development
of new facilities such as a shopping mall and apartment blocks. However, the basic
structure of the town center has remained the same, with the roads and landmarks
still intact.
In 1990, the town center's western area had Newton Street. The northern area
included a childcare center, a cafe, and a bank. Smith Street and Oldfield Street
were the two main roads running through the town. A park, along with a library
and town hall, was located in the central area of the town. In the southern area,
next to Green Street, there were houses located close together.
In the current map, the town center has developed significantly, with some of the
small businesses replaced by a shopping mall. The childcare center, library, and
town hall have remained in their original locations, but new pedestrian paths have
been added. In the eastern area, a cafe has replaced a bank. A row of new
apartment blocks has also been built in the southern part of the town, replacing
some of the houses.
